Does Morts have a good short kicking game, I know Anasta doesn't?

If Morts does he'll compliment JrJr very well playing 6 cause Pearce has an enormous boot, but as many have said he struggles to find repeat sets close to the line.

    Chook.

Iam talking about Pearce, not Braith.. Pearce's passes become erratic on the odd occasion he makes a break, then all bets are off.

Morts didn't have a good any sort of a game last year, according to those who watched him play for Wenty, but a good short kicking game is something that can definitely be worked on. You certainly need to have a good feel for the game, to have good instincts, which you'd think with his genes that he wouldn't be missing that from his weaponry, so the actual skills can be worked on with good coaching, which JT should be working with him on & of course our senior No.6 & No.7 should also be major participants in this work also. I'm just hoping all this competition for spots in the top 17 makes everybody step up, especially in terms of consistency.

Anyone who thinks that Mortimer will start at 5/8 before Anasta is just simply playing with themselves.

Mortimer has more chance of playing FB IMO.

I personally would go with Mortimer at 5/8 but I know there is not a hope in hell that he will get the jump on Anasta unless Anasta gets injured. Plus we have way to many backrowers who deserve the chance at backrow more so than what Mortimer deserves a chance at 5/8

Braith Anasta - The Andrew Wilkie of the Roosters.

He's irrelevant now (like Julia) we've got a replacement, nobody wants him around but he won't piss off because he's an arrogant, self-righteous, self-obsessed fool.

The only difference is that we're not replacing him with a drunken moral vacuum.

            This time.

Hey Maddie, I do not get your hatred of Braith.

I am also frustrated by his lack of speed, IMHO his major impediment. As a 5/8 you need to be speedy enough to force defenders into committing to tackling you if you run with the ball, thereby creating holes for supporting players to run into if you pass it late. Without speed, defenders have the luxury of waiting to see what the play is going to be, as they will have time to catch you if you decide not to pass.

But he has done a lot for the club. 2010 was not just about T Carney. I witnessed first hand a number of amazing fightbacks, led by Anasta, that enabled our team to reach the semis in 2010. It wasn't just the tigpies semi field goal.

Apart from your high opinion of Megan Gale (I think she is bland as), I find myself agreeing with a lot of your opinions. But I strongly disagree that Braith is self-righteous, self-obsessed or a tool. I would hope he is arrogant, as elite sportsmen should be, I don't see that as a drawback.

And really, it is not true that nobody wants him around. If that were the case he would be gone. I don't blame him for sticking around as long as the club are prepared to have him, even though by now I agree he is past his prime. I mean, wouldn't you if it was your job?

Playa, we agree on a lot, not on Braith. It's not a recent thing, I've never rated him.

We went after the wrong 5/8th from the Dogs is the problem. Thanks to Ricky Stuart.

I have been told I've walked past Miranda Kerr three times in D.J.'s while she's been flogging things over the last few years. I've been introduced to Megan Gale, managed not to drool over her shoes, and conducted myself with dignity and aplomb. I did, however, get her to sign (slightly belatedly) my Max Italia 2001 calendar.

On topic, we expect our halfback to be a combination of Horrie Hastings, Alfie Langer and Jonathan Thurston. Which is what he could have been, had we bought Jonathan Thurston from the dogs when we had the chance.

                      Thurston is a 5/8.

Looked like he was playing as a No.7 for the past half dozen or so SOO series!

                          Past his prime...

When the fark was he any good, I must have blinked.

I am frustrated by his lack of speed, insight, kicking ability, the way he passes the ball at a million farking miles an hour at either his support players throat or knee caps, his inability to create and in general his overall shitness. In addition I think he has too much influence over the coach.

                          Fark him.
