    Too many..lol.
More recent times was bagging toups but he was poorish up until late 2017...now I consider him a rooster god.
Same as Friend his form on early 2018 was abysmal...thought his time was up ....bloody hell been the best in the game and better than Ref Smith..onky doesnt get the deserves recognition. He doesnt come on the field in 2019 GF we could've lost it.
definatley wasnt sure about signing Cronk either...coaches masterstroke that one.

In fairness they were both poor.
We were all on that bandwagon...

I can remember some mob booing Freddy off the field

I was sedated for most of the 80s & 90s so I can’t remember any titles we won in those decades! I don’t know, I was really drunk at the time.

So I am mentally challenged for using my Roosters keyring from my membership pack, saying hello to a player who was my neighbour at the time whilst walking home with aforementioned keyring in my hand...

Friend was going so bad in early 2018 that Andrew McCullogh got chosen ahead of him for Origin. Andrew McCullogh! An abomination of a football player.

So yeah I was constantly bagging Friend around that time too. I even wanted him replaced by Kurt Baptiste lol I also bagged Toops mercilessly for a while when he was in the doldrums. Both have since cemented their statuses as all time great Roosters.

As for the 2019 GF, *correction*, we DON'T win the GF without Friend. His defence was immense when he came on with Cronk sin binned. To quote Robbo, "he's like having two defenders."

My first post was on the original 'wall' .I argued that Ricko should play front row. My idea was immediately torn down ruthlessly and devastatingly.

Players who I thought were cr@p
                  - I wasn't a fan of JWH and didn't know what all the love was about. Told a few people they had NFI when he was just starting out (seemed a lot of $$$ and hype for a random from the Waratahs - didn't see a lot of "SBW of yawnion" in him)
                  - Thought Cronk was shyt3 when he played for the Drizzle + a complete myth
                  - Hated on SBW big time when he was at the Doggiiiiiz

                  Players who I rated
                  - Peni Tagive... dunno why but I was cheering when I saw him named at wing.
                  - Runners up include Slime-Ankle, Reece Robinson and the possibility of signing Duges
                  - Willie Wanka - I stood up for him in 2009 when he said 'I reckon we can still make the 8' with like 6 games left

                  Randomness
                  - I thought Braith's name was 'Nathan Aster' for about a year coz I'd only ever heard it on the radio. Meh, if I ever meet him I'm gonna call him that
I also defended Reece Robinson and thought he'd end up as a good signing. Oh well, you can't win 'em all.

I feel Toops adapted his game around about that time if not earlier?

Like he was always tall and athletic so could score tries. However, earlier on:
                      - He had more handling errors as all he was doing was trying to catch balls for tries (which is HARD!)
                      - Once they knew he was a gun, teams marked him up and took him out in the air before he could catch the ball so it was even harder for him to have an impact
                      - He was leaner so got driven back
                      - People saw him as an Israel Folau kinda player (tall and athletic + running around players rather than through them)
                      - He got dropped from Origin very quickly (due to these flaws in his game)

IMO he's a perfect example of how humility and hard work can pay off. He had a lull while he was adapting but now he's re-invented the role of winger. Without losing any pace or vertical jump from his game he's:
                      - Taken a pay cut and agreed to learn when he'd been selected for Origin and was guaranteed a 1st grade spot anywhere (probably a raise to move elsewhere)
                      - Bulked up... he could legit play in the back row if needed. Now there's no way you'll drive him back or catch him 1-on-1 because he runs into the middle, calls for the ball and hits it up the middle. Result? He now gets 200+ metres on a regular basis and the forwards can focus more on defending the middle (less attacking duties for them).
                      - Developed more of a passing game. If nothing's going on he can shift the ball from left to right and create opportunities...etc.
                      - Won 3 premiership rings while at it (tries in every premiership? A credit to his ability... you know he's a gun but you can't stop him)

First time I saw him play he scored a hat trick against the Raiders (on debut?) He plugged a long-term issue with us not having proper wingers (yep we went through Justin Carney, Jordan Tansey, Peni Tagive, Tautau Moga, Sam Perrett, Blowie Leilua...etc with some vague hope that Luke Towers, Josh Dugan or the West Bank's Pentecostal Missionary would solve all).

Toops marked the beginning of a new era and I doubt we'd have gone anywhere without him. Robbo's an awesome coach coz he wants to build you and keeps those who wanna get better rather than con artists who want $$$ before they better themselves! I know one player went for the big $$$ to play FB after being dumped as an Origin centre. Good luck to him but IMO seeing Toops and the like (Manu, Crichton, Collins, Butch, SST, Tedesco, Keary, Verrills, Matto, Napa...etc) players will know that if they stick with Robbo, they're going places.

The Toops model will help us long-term coz people will keep wanting to play for us. Whereas if you go with Wayne Bennett... he'll give you $$$ and protect you. However, you know he's only trying to win the next premiership (no long-term plan) and once he's gone you'll be a Jamie Soward or a Darius Boyd... no hope/plan for you!

Cherro and Moga - thought they were going to be good. Injury did cruel them.
Was worried about Cronk for the first part of 2018. He looked old and slow.
roosters were $30 to win comp when SBW signed, should have put more on and earlier than when I bet mid season

I got into a mild panic about bad feelings in the group seeing pearce leave robbo's house after what looked to be a certain farewell meeting

                                AHAHAHAHAHAHA.
