In fairness they were both poor.

I remember the Shiitler era on the Wall.

I also remember after the 2003 GF, Toddy Byrne suffered your, Vasco, Dead Elvis and others' wrath. Some of the comments were outrageously funny.

I thought after 2002 GF, I would die a happy and fully satisfied man.

But after the disappointments of 03 and 04, I thought we'd go back to the wilderness of 1976 to 2001 and we'd have to wait another 30 years for a premiership.

Another confession is I thought we'd be worse this year after losing Cronk and Lattrell and we wouldn't win the premiership. I actually think we might be better than 18-19, and I'll be bitterly disappointed if we don't get the threepeat. The players seem more keen than ever with no sign of complacency. Only injury to Keary will derail us imo.

I'd also be wrapped for Robbo. In a strict salary cap environment, going B2B is incredible. Getting a threepeat is nothing short of a miracle. Gibbo got his threepeat when there was no salary cap and Bennett got his B2B when the cap was hardly even looked at as it had just been introduced.

I was a Western Suburbs junior and supported the Magpies until I was about 11. My dad was always a Roosters man, and when I asked him why, he told me my Grandfather played for Easts. I swapped to the mighty chooks immediately & was able to barrack them to the 1974/75 premierships straight after.

I was sure Luke Phillips would play for NSW. I was also on the Ryan Williamson band wagon.

- I wasn't a fan of JWH and didn't know what all the love was about. Told a few people they had NFI when he was just starting out (seemed a lot of $$$ and hype for a random from the Waratahs - didn't see a lot of "SBW of yawnion" in him)
- Thought Cronk was shyt3 when he played for the Drizzle + a complete myth
- Hated on SBW big time when he was at the Doggiiiiiz

Players who I rated
- Peni Tagive... dunno why but I was cheering when I saw him named at wing.
- Runners up include Slime-Ankle, Reece Robinson and the possibility of signing Duges
- Willie Wanka - I stood up for him in 2009 when he said 'I reckon we can still make the 8' with like 6 games left

Randomness
- I thought Braith's name was 'Nathan Aster' for about a year coz I'd only ever heard it on the radio. Meh, if I ever meet him I'm gonna call him that

I was a Mini detractor too, but I still stand by that. If he had put his body on the line in 2014 and knocked the ball into touch I think we beat Souths in the GF.

Must admit I wanted Jake gone in early 2018, and I did suggest we sigh Lodge, both outrageous errors on my part. Jake has the heart of a lion, Lodge has the heart of a pea. I also wanted Pearce to stay and play lock, but that might have worked out.
