I think he broke it in the prelim final against Manly the week before ...paving the way for the folklore fairytale John Rheinberger !

What a player Mark was and a friendly guy. I knew him thru my dad. During my youth and his playing days we often use to see each other during the week on Woollahra Golf Links due to me using it as a training ground. Some folklore trivia and unbeknown - Mark printed the fabric of THE jacket made famous by Bob Hawke on the day of the Americas Cup victory.

Very sad news. Best wishes to his family and everyone associated with him in some way. I am pleased he got to witness our wonderful back to back achievement.
        RIP Mark.

Some people believe supporting the Roosters
is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed
with that attitude. I can assure you it is
much, much more important than that.

R.I.P Mark Harris. I’ve only ever seen bits and pieces of his games due to me not being old enough to have watched him, but I can understand why he was a valued member of the roosters

True Zac. So very true. You need to make the most of your good fortune in beating it.

Agree QWERTY. I am not old enough either, but I can certainly appreciate what he means to and did for our club.

What an awesome person and player. I have great memories of him that will stay with me forever. We gave him a great going away present in our back to back premierships. God bless you forever Mark and condolences to the family.

RIP big fella , I can remember watching him and Terry Randall butting heads like 2 Billy goats at the sports ground. Back when centres played inside and outside he formed a dynamic partnership running off Brass's silky passes with his hard running .

The centre pairing in my best Roosters team is still Harris and Brass.
