I fail to understand what 3 different coaches or different CEOs etc could do about the fact we have only won 1 of them.

Anasta is not the greatest player, but without him we would have been dead last 3 years in a row.
Carney would have been a head case in 2010 as well as 2011.

We probably wouldn't have even needed Carney by 2010, because we might have signed a better half way back somewhere between '04 and '09.

Braith's attitude is without fault, his commitment is obviously there emotionally and mentally, but doesn't translate to on field work ethic. As such, without mincing words, he is overpaid.

For all the good he brings to this club, 99% of it is off the field.

I can say with absolute authority that Brendan Hall "gave a shit" about the Roosters and had a fair amount of talent but when Brad Fittler came to the club I think nobody had a problem with Fittler taking over from Hall.

Backwards, if you go back to 2010 you will see that many of us were concerned about Anasta. Carney showed us how far off the mark Anasta is as a 5/8th. And Anasta showed us he didn't have the workrate of a second rower. I will grant you Anasta does show a lot of passion at times and can be an inspirational leader, but it usually takes a smack in the mouth or a pathetic refereeing decision to bring that passion out.

Maybe he needs a smack in the mouth every week?

For all the criticism of Finch at halfback, he would have made a much better 5/8th than Anasta. A bit like Pearce, Finch just doesn't have the quick thinking required to properly execute the right choices at halfback.
