I'm playing off 8 at the moment, but my slice has started creeping back into my game so that shit could skyrocket anytime now.
I've recently changed to graphite shafts (insert shaft jokes here ) so i'm thinking that might be the problem.
Alright dude no more ricotta jokes.

Playing off 8 is pretty good golfing. You must have some bloody good course options in Queensland. Thats where you are right? Trying to play in Hong Kong, Macau, Southern China is a massive pain in the arse. The price is the biggest pain of all. I really appreciate the options back home now when I can get a game. I would love to be playing a couple of times a week. I can't even practice on real grass here, The driving ranges are expensive and crap.

Thought you were in QLD for some reason. Yeah Central Coast courses are great. Everglades and Tuggerah Lakes are good tracks from memory. I seem to remember playing at Gosford once or twice which was okay. Have had a few games at that little 9 holer in Terrigal too.

            Everglades is my local.

There's a few new courses up here that are really good.

Kooindah Waters, behind the racecourse at Wyong which is hard and had some drainage issues at first, but plays really well now. I actually done a bit of work on the mantra resort next door and got to have a sneaky game before it officially opened.

Magenta Shores, which is half way between The Entrance and Toukley and has a massive housing development on site and has it's own postcode. I've never played it but i've seen a few holes and it looks pretty sweet. Plus there's always choppers dropping off the rich and famous at the joint so it must go alright.

Hey Greeds, when I was a kid, my cousins house backed onto the course at Woy Woy and we used to jump his back fence, run out and pinch the balls after they were teed off then scarper back over the fence real quick. After we had a decent enough collection, we would sell them back to the golfers!

The snorkel and goggles also came in quite handy at Asquith also!

Mate, looking at those houses, they most probably haven't changed a bit!

It's all good though, because they're all old and shitty i don't feel as bad when i send one flying over the fence!

                      • I heard him on 9 news tonight.

He said that playing hold has caused him to have sore or broken fingers etc.

Imagine his passes of the footy now with his fingers all stuffed up. His usual pass to the ground or behind a support player will now become even more apparent

                          this is a good point.

Unless some of you are suggesting that he is playing golf whilst every other kid is training, i have no problem with this especially during the off-season

A new field for Roosters Captain
                            Friday, 9 September 2011

Braith Anasta Sydney Rooster Braith Anasta will turn his attention to golf this summer after being confirmed in the field of the 2011 NSW PGA Championship which gets underway at Wollongong Golf Club from the 3rd– 6thNovember.

While Anasta’s NRL season may be over he is still hard at training with one difference; he is off the field and on to the fairways to make sure his golf game is able to compete against some of Australia’s best Professional Golfers.

“I am really looking forward to this season of golf, even more so now that I will be competing in the NSW PGA Championship,” said Braith Anasta.

“The NSW PGA is a very prestigious tournament and so I am training hard at Wollongong Golf Club to ensure come November I am competitive against the Professionals.”

The NSW PGA Championship will be Anasta’s first foray into competitive golf where he will compete as an Amateur against a high quality field of Professionals that includes Australian great, Craig Parry.

Both Parry and Anasta will be looking to put their name on the trophy alongside the likes of Kel Nagle, Peter Senior and Wayne Grady.

“I would be honoured to win the tournament and add my name to the trophy but for the moment I am just concentrating on getting my game in the best shape possible.”

Anasta is sure to add a new dimension to the NSW PGA Championship where fans will be able to watch how the NRL star fares in his first professional golf tournament.

“We are very pleased to welcome Braith into the NSW PGA Championship as an amateur where I am sure both Braith and golf fans alike will enjoy the golfing action over the four days,” said Simon Butterly, General Manager of the PGA Tour of Australasia.

“With prime positioning immediately before the Australian Open, this year’s NSW PGA Championship is sure to be a success and we look forward to heading back to Wollongong Golf Club,” added Butterly.

The NSW PGA Championship immediately precedes The Australian Open and Presidents Cup

The tournament will be played at Wollongong Golf Club from Thursday 3rd November to Sunday 6thNovember 2011.

The field will by vying for their share of the $120,000 prize purse plus exemptions into some of the biggest tournaments on the PGA Tour of Australasia.

great to see braith playing in the nsw pga, it will only bring more attention to golf and wollongong, in the long term more opportunities for us up and coming pros! lets keep growing professional golf in australia!Posted by Ross at 09/09/2011 08:48 PM
Awesome that he is playing, he is a quality golfer and athlete and he will perform well. I guess you could say he is an upcoming professional as he will play competitive golf once he is finished with rugby leaguePosted by The Bear at 09/09/2011 03:35 PM
he obviously took a spot........better off giving it to up coming proPosted by PGA of Australia at 09/09/2011 02:06 PM
Hi Tezza, Please rest assured that the number of positions available to professionals has not been reduced in anyway by Braith Anasta competing in the field. Every PGA State Based Championship, of which the NSW PGA is one, has an allocation of positions available for Amateurs and Braith will be using one of these. Thanks for your comment and we hope you enjoy the upcoming season of golf. The PGA of AustraliaPosted by Tezza at 09/09/2011 12:57 PM
Let him Pre Qualify, hes taking the spot of some up and coming professional
