    • Raiders will have BJ Leilua back and he is good for a few penalties...So Latrell will be pushing those buttons...

      • I feel strangely confident about the Canberra game. Even without SST.

          • Nice to not have any new injury concerns, JWH comes in for Collins and that is the team to face the Raiders.

            • Well done to son of Sam. A great combo with Radley, Keary, Cronk and Teddy. The dopes in the media are yet to pinpoint Trents excellence in working a 21 man squad. Special mentions to Cronk on his 100th try, Morris’s hat trick and positional play and Crichton’s performance and Lattrells goal kicking.
              Up Easts.

hey bondi paul I reckon those media hounds might he picking up a little on Trent's judgment after this one. I actually thought we went well against the Bulldogs too. Trent was upbeat after that game too. Could have easily been a lot further up than 14 nil at half time. Plus the Dogs came out committed and creative for an improved second half. That showed this week as they upset the Panthers at home. Agree with all your mentions just adding a special one too for Verills and Cronk's captaincy kept the foot on the pedal for 80 minutes.

Cool yeah... pretty sad then. It's not just my gut feeling, we've never won while I've been in Canberra (I moved here in September 2010).

I don't wanna talk it up too much but for those who have never seen it, Canberra use their home advantage to the max. It's a tiny stadium and they have this idiot MC going the whole time. In summary:
                  - Our team doesn't get announced when we go out, instead they play boos over the speakers.
                  - Whenever our tries go to the bunker, stupid Mission Impossible music is played (AND LOUD!!!) with the MC making it clear he thinks it's no try. He'll even heckle the refs' decisions if they go our way.
                  - There's stupid music and lame MC chants revving up the crowd the whole time. It sounds stupid but it's loooud and annoying. Like the stadium is almost a local ground... as a player it'd certainly flood your ears with noise.
                  - They rig the clock EVERY TIME!!! If we are up at 1/2 time with 3 to go and they have ball in hand then it becomes 10 (in which time they generally score) because they stop the clock early and start it late. Conversely if we are trying to catch them, the clock never stops. Soooo many times I have seen games where we are pushing them for the last 5 (and ~2 points behind) and the clock just never stops so we get maybe 1 run in the last 5 minutes. It's pathetic that they do this but they get away with it.
                  - Because the stadium is so tiny, ~4000 fans make it feel packed and to their credit, their crowd gets involved big time!!!

IMO the Raiders are lucky to be where they are this season but it is what it is. We're gonna have to work bloody hard to beat them!!!

Were you feeling strangely confident before the Roosters v Cowboys game in Rd 17 at Gosford?
The Roosters record in Canberra over the last decade is worse than Gosford. I cant remember the last time the Roosters beat Canberra in Canberra.

                    • We don't get the privilege of playing these top sides at home, that still shits me.

They all lift against us, but Wighton and Sezer will be having more sleepless nights about Keary Cronk this week than vice versa, cauldron or not!

Good result today but it has to be stressed where the opposition are coming.
Next Sunday on a nice clear day in Canberra will be a much better indication about how the Roosters are travelling leading into the finals.
                          I cant wait.

                            • The best thing about today for me was that we kept our intensity and energy up despite a mismatch in class with the opposition. Oftentimes we dumb it down depending on who we play. Today there was none of that. It's that time of the year and Robbo is increasing the kph's.
