2018 is the best win I've experienced.

We beat the greatest team of the modern era. We didn't just beat them, we owned them.

The Slater judiciary call was diabolical. We sent him out a loser, and under no illusion what the rest of the League world thinks if him.

The Latrell and Nappa calls, in light of Slater, were heavy. And Greenburg swanning in was totally on the nose.

We hadn't produced to our potential in two seasons. Then everyone played the games of their careers.

The crowd was mental.

We beat everyone to get there. Not an easy ride.

How quickly we forget.

The 2013 Roosters were easily the best team in the comp and dominated all year. I felt very confident from early in the season that the Roosters would win the GF. Very similar to 2017 when Storm dominated all year and it felt destined and every other team is just playing for second.

2018 has been a really great year for rugby league with the most open competition of my lifetime. This semi final series has also been an absolute cracker and the 2018 Roosters Grand Final victory the absolute cherry on top.

This is why 2018 trumps 2013 for me. This season was such a wild rollercoaster, I never left a game thinking about the GF, didnt give a f about ticket sales, despairing more about basic mistakes, inexplicable brain fart plays, improvement.

It wasnt until the Allianz send off i though this is it, we've earned this long arduous journey ending in the ultimate prize!

I could easily go back and watch our full 2018 season, I've already watched the GF three times!
