The only comment I will make is that 2018 beats 2013 fairly comfortably for me.

Reasons:
Quality of Opposition.
Everyone wrote us off.
Greater Easts % of crowd and a bigger atmosphere.
Injury heroics esp Cooper.

Probably player for player, the 2013 team has it slightly. But performance wise, that 2018 first half was as good a half of footy I think I've ever seen ..and to do it in the biggest game of the year was something special. And 2018 Trobbo is so much better than 2013 Trobbo. This time last year we were all questioning the coach and his selections. Fast forward 12 months and hasn't he got it 100% each week of the finals !

2002 was like having your first root..hadnt seen em win since 75...2013 knew from day 1 we would win it ,spectacular game greatest defensive side that year it felt good.
2018 was never sure what the team was going to be capable of was never nervous but anxious to get the game going. Satisfying and happy to see the boys wipe the smiles and egos off Smith and Slater

How quickly we forget.

The 2013 Roosters were easily the best team in the comp and dominated all year. I felt very confident from early in the season that the Roosters would win the GF. Very similar to 2017 when Storm dominated all year and it felt destined and every other team is just playing for second.

2018 has been a really great year for rugby league with the most open competition of my lifetime. This semi final series has also been an absolute cracker and the 2018 Roosters Grand Final victory the absolute cherry on top.

I'd agree exactly with the backs.
Forwards is hard cos we've had so many good back rowers and I might tinker a bit there. I'd probably go for MP on the bench instead of Jake, though I wouldn't have a problem with starting with Jake and bringing Wingy on.

I would change Wingy around with Friend or Bring in Brett Finch for comedy value .

2013 was the most dominant roosters team of the modern era. 7 shut outs. But beating Melbourne and ruining the slater narrative is extra special.

Both were special because I was expecting us to have an okay season then gel the next season for a possible crack at a premiership. I said this to my wife before the game and we agreed that it felt the same.

For me 2018 was the better win because:
- The competiton was stronger (not just the Storm... Sharks + Souffs all finished on the same points as us) and we still won. Manly gave us a better run for our money and if anything, we probably shoulda pulled their pants down on paper.
- Our defence shut out all but some penalties in the Souffs game and a run-away intercept in the GF despite the fact Cronk was busted.
- Circumstances!!! We sent Slater packing with an emphatic loss and TBH gut under the Drizzle's skin (i.e. they became uncharictaristically flustered and desperate looking).
- The feeling/support. We packed the SFS out for a gutsy win against Souffs and then almost filled ANZ with Roosters fans (I'd predict 65,000 were Roosters fans). This is the first time that I have seen our fans intimidate assuming opponents with our numbers and passion, SO LETS KEEP IT UP IN 2019 BECAUSE IT WORKS!!! IMO Slater and Smith are used to being gods... when Slater came out for 1/2 time, did his stupid side-steps/vine leaves across the field and grinned, everybody booed him on his last game, it sent a clear message. The Drizzle never really recovered and IMO sending Smith/Slater off in that sorta fashion will be something I'll remember in many years to come.

In a way they are both a bit similar in that manly were a very good team and we ended there era and the storm have been a great side and I really think we just ended them too.
I can't split the sides but that performance the other night was better. Manly were in front and we had to come back and grab them. We blew the storm off the park the other night and after the first 4 sets, one could see we were never going to lose .

4. It's an impossible task. Too hard to be forced to omit players like Mini, Jennings, Aubbo, LOD, SST etc. I couldn't put a vote on the poll.
