The future of Daniel Tupou is again clouded after the Roosters signed Brett Morris on a two-year deal.

Morris will join English import Ryan Hall at Bondi Junction next year, adding strike to an already powerful backline. The Roosters needed to buy one winger to replace Parramatta-bound Blake Ferguson, but the fact they bought two means Tupou could be on the way out.

The Dragons could be a potential home for Tupou, particularly if Jason Nightingale retires at the end of the season. The tricolours could lose young halfback Sean O’Sullivan to Brisbane, but there could be a Bronco going the other way. Like you and many others I wish Fergo was resigned for next year,but the club has made the right decision based on what it was going to take to keep him. In the face of a 3 yr 500 a yr off we couldn't compete with that. If we were competing with a 2 year offer at say 400 then we probably would have matched that. The real stumbling block for us was year 3. You have to consider that lattrell comes off contract at the end of 2020, his upgrade will be 350-400 on top of his current contract and Joey is up for renewal at the same time. Hall and Morris both finish up in 2020.

I'll wait until I her it officially from the club. I heartily agree with bondi.boy IF we are shopping Toops. Can't imagine why considering he hit his peak last year and was going well until hit by injuries. So unless Toops himself wants out, after playing for virtual unders and seeing how Fergo was moved on, it doesn't make a lot of sense. He's always said that he loves the place and would have to be one of the most modest, easiest going guys in the game today. Of course he did get a serious injury and he may be realising that he's getting older and be looking for a payday like Fergo. Who could blame him for that/ But at this stage is's all rumour without any hard fact. The stuff that league journos live off.

Mate they haven't even announced Morris is signed yet! In fact Robbo said in his media conference before Sunday's game that we hadn't signed Brett Morris.

And if Morris has signed in the past day or two, there is no certainty that Toops is on the way out, that's mere media speculation - BMorris can play wing or centre, which means Manu could also be in the mix for the chop. You would assume that Ryan Hall would take Ferguson's spot.
