Most of you seem to think Cronk is the greatest thing since sliced bread but I have seen nothing from him to suggest it was a good idea team wise to have Cronk and not Pearce this year.
I could be proved wrong in the long run...I hope I am, but at this stage Cronk has been a dud.
He's not the greatest thing since sliced bread, but he's definitely greater than Pearce in big games.

Mind you, even Trent Hodgkinson is better than Pearce in big games so that's not saying much.

I’ve never been a fan of Mitchell’s game and off field antics but I must say I’m happy he’s doing well at the Knights.

I’m also happy we signed Cronk and feel the Club made the right choice in doing so.

My guess is that it's not about memory but more about relationship. It wouldn't surprise me if some of these so called Roosters fans here are either multi-profile posters all on the same agenda or maybe have Pearce in their name? It wouldn't surprise me hahaha... A bigger loss in Maloney brought less division. Go figure!

Pearce will be the next Immortal, more like the first Immoral.

Correct, It is hilarious Soward had the better of Pearce in their entire careers and we all know what most think is Soward lol

I think you're misunderstanding the emotion behind most people's affection towards Pearce.

It's not measured on his value or skill.

                  Oh great, another Pearce thread.

All these threads should be elsewhere, as they are NOT rooster related.
Ex players can have their own section in the Pen.

Yeah it’s been nice and quiet while he was out with his pec injury hasn’t it!

Affection is one thing but whining on about how Pearce is a better option to get us to a premiership win (or even a GF) is delusional. He’s had his chance after 2013.

If it's not measured on those qualities, why the consternation at his leaving?

I have affection for all ex-Easts players, except maybe Willie Mason. although I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

I haven't seen anyone talking about Pearce's ability to take us to a GF in this thread (apart from Tommy). On the contrary it seems to be the automatic defence that you & PWN jump to.

I think the question most fans are asking themselves is did we really need to let go of a 10yr+ servant for a bloke who's about to retire and isn't playing much better.than Pearce anyway?

That's the contentious decision and you've got to understand and appreciate that there's a lot of emotion behind that question, you're looking at it from a practical sense which is fine but I think you're always going to find yourself frustrated at others if you can't appreciate why Maloney will never get brought up as much as Pearce in regards to being a mistake.

in hindsight at this stage of the season , i personally would have felt we were better off with pearce, if we win the premiership of course it changes, but please cronk supporters dont hide behind the weak fact he was bought here to develop younger players. he was bought to win a premiership and thus far has done nothing amazing.

Cronk may not have done anything spectacular....but..thats not his style.

Hes done well in a new squad with a different framework to his usual team structure.

There shouldnt really be anything to argue about here.

See you Mitch...good luck and thank you...time to let the apron strings go guys.
