    1. Horrie is number 1 for me. He is my all time Roosters favourite player so he wins hands down.
    2. Gary Freeman. He was the best player in the team when he was at the Chooks.
    3. Pearce. Fanboy
    4. Mayes. He was lucky in a way because he got to play in the best ever Roosters team.
    5. Spina. I think he was more gifted than Lam & Junee.
    Finchy just missed out.

      .
Laurie and Kev were both a bit under-rated and unlucky.
That and the fact they both wore the number 7 is all they had in common.

It was a goosebump semi. Some fans were already heading out when the field goal went over. I was just getting out of my seat. Then it was game on and blokes like Ellsgood and Wood started carving uo the Bears. Must have been hard to cop for the Norths supporters/ Talk about momentum swinging.

I should mention Lam's performances for Qld. I though he really outplayed Toovey and should have been selected for Australia. That's when they concocted the New Guinea ineligibility stuff. For mine Lam was short changed there.

        • Did anyone read the article that The WetOnes captain Smiff has been in contact with TheSnitz about a possible job availability at 7 next year???

          Link: https://www.msn.com/en-au/sport/rugb...cid=spartanntp

Now if that happened imagine our first game. Would be some sorta interest.

Imagine he did a Jamie Coward and won a GF against us???

So ward better player than Pearce, both sooks though, Soward actually won a GF before Pearce and guided his team to that victory, he didn't have SBW, Jennings and Maloney.

We will Flog them with that Flog, Cam and a Slater will be turtle soup with Flog boy in charge

I hope Pearce doesn't go as it would be a genuine possibility. I suspect it would also be the end of Robinson.

Yeah Soward had all the premiership contenders like Penrith lining up for his services. Pearce only has Storm/Sharks/Manly.

You must be a relative of Soward to say he was better than Pearce. And Soward had Tony Archer and Robert Finch et al in his corner in order to win a GF. Don't think that result wasn't pre-ordained in the DragQueens and Bennett's favour. No matter who the halves were on the day, the DragQueens were always assured of victory. Classic stichup.

I wouldn't be too sure confident about beating the Storm if Pearce is in the team - I suspect he'd fit in like a glove down there in the Bellamy systems given the chance.

I am having a chuckle though imagining the meltdown in the Pen if that actually happened.

It would be a FlogBoy nightmare mate.

Dare I say worse than losing to lol@souffs in a GF.

I had the same thought when I read that article last night.

The Cronkpen would go into fatal meltdown I believe.

Part of me, that part I try to suppress MR, would find some warped fascination in such a scenario.

Like a carwreck. Cant look and cant look away at the same time.

As Dice said heres hoping TheSnitz goes elsewhere and we can put that nightmare to bed.

This is the reason I would like to see him go to Newcastle.
Storm, Manly or Sharks and he could be winning a GF next year.

                            I would concur MR.

Imagine after Baloney winning a GF at Scumnulla TheSnitz does the same.

It would make our recruitment/retention look rather foolish to say the least.

I may be forced to think there a few Flogs working at the club.

No relative of Soward, did not rate him at all, every time Pearce came up against Soward he was schooled, no co incidence or fluke, Soward was just a better player and game manager.

                              • We must have been watching different games, I can remember Soward being more a speed bump than anything else. To give him credit, he could kick the occasional field goal - usually against the Chooks. Maybe Mitch will do the same in future. He found his groove for those this year after all those missed attempts. Might come back to bite us next year.
