  • Compound fracture would be a disaster. That'd be close to the season.

Geez we never have any luck with injuries.

This comp has really opened up for the Storm.

Please! If that was a shot to the head, then you are blind. Player stayed down for a penalty and a free interchange. Manly through and though.

        • Robbo mentioned in the presser that SST had the bone break through the skin In his finger.

I'm no expert on finger injuries but that doesn't sound like a short term thing.

Compound fractures are shcoking injuries that I believe would require surgery.

            I'd say it's a 6+ week injury IF it's broken.

            What horrific luck.

Unfortunately we did and Manly were just too hungry for us. The damage was done in the first quarter of that 2nd half with no JWH or SST on the field and we got dominated.

Biggest worry is the Toups injury and I assume SST as well?

Thought Matto was great in a losing team and Keary and Lattrell good too.
I forgot to mention Isaac Liu....id rate his last 3 digs as probably career best form.

Will all depend on the complexity of the injury- tissue and bone damage - an example of recovery time is below- could well be season ending I suggest.

The recovery period for Compound Fractures of the Finger Bones depends on the complexity of the injury and to what extent has the tissue and bones been damaged. If it is a minor fracture and the injury is mild then the patient may return to normal activities within a span of 6 to 8 weeks. If the finger bone fracture is complex and the injury is deep and complex then the recovery period may take three to four months before the patient can gradually return to full function of the fingers.

Having done one my self in Baseball not a pleasant site - pitching and the batter hit the ball back to me - my ungloved hand copped the full force of the ball but still threw the batter out at first base for 3rd out - coming off I thought gees my finger hurts - looked down and seen bone sticking out- mmm that shouldn't be the case - 8 weeks out- minor compound fracture in that instance

                • The Storm would be loving this!

                  Are there any contenders left?

They've all fallen over due to injury.

yes surgery will be required and recover period to play again will depend on the severity of it and damage to the tissue and bone - 6 to 8 weeks minor ones and 4 months minimum major ones - be very unlikely to be play again this season.

                      Thank you Doctor.

Will you be performing the surgery should it be required?

                      I do hope so.

Queen Salvo is a Doctor- Compound fractures require surgery whether minor or major - Robbo was saying he hope's it's not broken - but bone piercing the skin is a giveaway though in terms of the treatment required - if not a compound fracture he would have played on for instance.

And they keep going on - maybe being flogged during pre-season has something to do why they can be pretty much injury free season to season and not sustain injuries putting their players out for lengthy periods as what happens to other teams players.

He has probably had his contract renewed.

Even after a loss I can depend on the chookpen to give me a laugh.

                              • I knew Manly would be up for that game & I actually thought they would win. They always turn up when they play the Roosters.
After last weeks come from behind spirited effort I thought they would be better than that today. 16-4 up & then to get toweled like that is a bit of a worry.
