I despise going to games out there.
It is an abomination to watch footy at, which is why I so rarely go there for any game. Helps that I refuse to go to Vermin or DirtyDogs home games as I'm not giving either of those clubs my hard earned.

Last time I was there was the final against the Vermin in 2015 and I remember thinking then, this is why I haven't been here in years, this ground is an absolute shocker.

If you get a really good seat, you get the bonus of the mezzanine overhang obstructing your view, with the added bonus of the game being so far away and the concave of the ground, it's a real treat.

Sorry haven't read more than the first few replies so apologies if already discussed but why wouldn't we play at the scg if it came to this?

sorry up to date now. New stadium would be great and watching at the SCG for a year or two, no big deal if you end up with a great stadium like suncorp and we dont leave our heartland. Its the only option worth considering even though its not a great rectangular game theatre its still a great venue - open the members up to easts members like they do the swans and its part of our history. Shits all over the ANZ option or any other option mentioned thats for sure - ESmarks have you all gone mad? whats it fit 5000 as if. Leichhardt ffs its not us. Too many people have hit the opioids early tonight for fear of what might happen to us tonight i think!

If we move out to Homebush even temporarily, that'll do it for me - I won't go out there. There are no pubs for starters.
            Good old Stuart Ayres magic.

Give a guy millions of dollars to buy a heap of Liberal votes and he still messes it up!!!

Stupid westie... I think he majorly underestimated the area. He assumed 'oh eastern suburbs, all rich, rusted on Liberal voters' then when it was too late, realised the area has one of the strongest independents the state has ever seen. Completely mucked it up!

It wasn't even a good athletics stadium. I ran there once in 2009 for the olympic trials. It had these cool indoor tracks for warming up (they were pretty neat) but other than that it was garbage. They laid down this spongy stuff that you couldn't get much speed off and designed it so that no matter which direction you're coming from you'll get a head wind (because it swirls). I actually did okay in my 400m heat and final, but faaaark... it was such a battle trying to run 400m without a clear wind direction!!!

We would play at the SCG I suggest depending on the Swans AFL draw- not great viewing as you only see half of the player waist up when on the other side of the field due to the cricket pitch hump area- Corporate sponsors would need to be accommodated for so playing games at suburban grounds not logical or economical- Too many teams playing out off ANZ currently - Maybe more games on the Central Coast and or Adelaide Oval perhaps- Maybe the home ground at Waverley might be considered again ??
