What a leader. Going on benders in the nights / the day before a big game. That's leading by example. He is so far out of his depth it is not funny.

If Knight copped four weeks for his recent DUI - which, admittedly was high range - what will the NRL punishment for this donkey be?

      .063, barely went over.

Still a punishment or suspension is required, roosters will probably cop the suspension because we bullied him and he was depressed, and had no other option than drink.

Just slap another week onto the pearce suspension you nrl clowns.

It's low range which means he'll probably get a slap on the wrist. He won't be fined anything like 125k or sent overseas to dry out in a clinic nor be stood down for 8 matches.

As much as I dislike the guy it's a club issue and should be dealt with there as Pearce's indiscretion should have been dealt with.

Drink driving is a criminal offence... you get a criminal record for it.

Pearce copped 9 weeks when he didn't even break the law. IMO they should take DUI more seriously. It's a pretty farked up thing to do and you can't really defend yourself against it if you register above the limit since it's a strict liability offence.

I did notice he looked a bit weird in the pre match interview he did with Robbo , he must have had a lot on his mind.
              Now it all makes sense.

It has been reported that the St George Dragons failed to inform the NRL about the incident. Does anybody recall the punishment, if there was one, regarding Brad Fittler's drunken incident during his time as our head coach? I believe that drink driving should carry mandatory gaol sentencing as it puts people's lives in danger and there is no excuse for getting behind the wheel of a vehicle while intoxicated.

Absolutely agree. I think its disgraceful that people can drink and still get behind the wheel, knowingly putting people's lives at risk.

He was charged on Sunday morning so there must have been quite a bit in his system. Perhaps he should have a lie down?

Fair opinion with the drink driving and you are entitled to it, but our prison system would not be able to cope.

On that, do you then believe there should be a 0.00 tolerance for drink driving? Because even though 0.05 is the legal limit, some people who blow 0.04 are in a worse state than someone who blows 0.07.

In Hong Kong the legal limit is 0.0

I think it is quite a good idea. Everyone knows how hard it is to have one drink at a pub and leave.

Any idea how harsh the punishment is for going over?

0.05 is to easy for people to think they can have 4 drinks and still be right to drive. I think 0.02 is reasonable because it allows 1 drink and no more.

Yes I do believe that there should be a legal limit of 0.00 and there is no reason why we should have any tolerance for alcohol levels. When people first learn how to drive a car while on on their learners license there is a zero tolerance limit and I believe that should be established for everybody. It appears that the biggest factor in drink driving is people underestimating how intoxicated they are and overestimating their ability to carry out tasks while impaired.

Upon reflection of my comment I believe that the mandatory gaol sentencing should be for mid to higher range drink driving as I do recall seeing an episode of one of the RBT shows where a young man who was on his P plates was .01 over the limit from eating a Tiramisu so it would be foolish to send somebody to gaol for that. That is just my opinion and others are free to agree or disagree.
