Is it any surprise that we are linked to another player who is apparently unsettled or unhappy at their club.
Lol ..I am still waiting for our other fullback options to arrive. Snake, Teddy, Hayne etc.
Yes, VH is a talent. Sharks will get rid of Barba before Homes.
This just sounds like another bullshit rumour

Inglis doesn't belong in the same category as Fittler. Or Lockyer.
And i aint biased. Freddy was a ****ing natural footballing genius. Lockyer and Slater not far behind.
Please don't mention Inglis in his company again. Even Cam Smith dreams of having Freddy's talent.
Anyone who believes those two have even close to Freddy's genius have been reading too much of the biased media who want to annoint every second Qlder an Immortal.Last edited by Tommy Smith; 02-28-2016, 01:52 AM.

Slater and GI don't have the kicking game that Lockyer and Freddy had plus Locky and Fittler were great game managers. Something Inglis has never had to worry about.
GI is the better ball player between he and Slater however Slater clearly the superior overall FB.

I disagree and think that Slater is a much better ball player. He chimes into backline moves beautifully.
But Freddy is on another level entirely. He has GI's running game PLUS an amazing passing game and a far greater natural instinct for the game. Freddy is, amazingly so, the most underappreciated player in modern rugby league history. Even by some of our own fans. Amazing.

Slaters chiming in is top notch however his passes don't always find their mark. He'll often bust the line and score when sweeping around the back.
GI spent 2 seasons playing five-eighth down at the Storm and has Slater covered in ball playing department.

I have Slater and Freddy on an equal level, in their respective positions they were the best in the world.

But Mini pre 2006 , certainly has the better of both Inglis, Slater and maybe even RTS, all round I mean.
Some of those runs he made on kick returns back then were in a class of their own. Defensively he was always as safe as a house.

I certainly don't under rate Freddie tommy, I wouldn't have swapped him for any of those players including the immortal Johns. Comparing the likes of johns with Fittler or Lockyer is like splitting hairs, there's nothing between them. Fittler owned Johns in a few of those finals games. If u were to pick a team of the best players of the last 20 years, since the NRL was formed, what would it be. I would go Lockyer Hayne Renouf Inglis Slater Thurston Johns Fittler Tallis SBW Lazarus Smith Webcke

I think Inglis is lazy and overrated but when he's on he breaks tackles at will and can swat off good defenders with ease.

Freddy's running game was as good as Inglis at their respective peaks. Freddy didn't possess Inglis' pace or power but made up for it by deception and picking the right time. Even at 33 that try he scored against the Dragons in that classic ANZAC day game is a good example.
On his day his running game could destroy opposition defensive structures on his own.Originally posted by boogie
