Give it another 24 hours and it should be on youtube. Sometimes it's on the NRL site as well but I don't know what licensing agreement they have with Super League so it may only be highlights. I recorded it on my T-box and fingers crossed the hard drive doesn't crash like it did in 2014. I lost the 2013 Grand Final (all 10 hours including Ricky Martin ) a spectacular ANZAC win over the Dragons and the 2014 WCC match played here.

I couldn't find any injury news on Joe Burgess and it looks like he just didn't make the cut for the 17 man squad as he was named 2 days ago in the 19 man. Obviously 2 men had to drop off but I was surprised that Joe would be one of them. Never mind..we will have plenty of chances to see him in action now.

Latrell was solid and consistently shrugged off the first defender, think the game also highlighted that Burgess' 20 odd tries may not be anything special, wonder if Mitchell is ahead of him? Reckon if he is it's more to do with blooding him at FB as opposed to Burgess being crap. Lots of pressure on Tupou either way

Hastings was solid after a shaky start, didn't have to do much though. Nikorima looks awesome and defended well too.

Leuluai I thought was good outside of that dropped ball. Made plenty of tackles in the middle and consistently made 10 metres on his hitups.

Copley was average though. Didn't do much of the dirty work compared to the other outside backs, and let Peyroux in for his second. Reckon he will have Manu hot on his heels all season, we could end up with a backline of 1. Mitchell 2. Tupou 3. Manu 4. Fergo 5. SKD 6. Nikorima 7. Hastings - not ready for that yet but plenty to get excited about there.

Talented team with loads of potential yet obvious concern is how long Fergo will last and for the first time in twenty years we lack a recognised goal kicker. We have had some great kickers in that time Walker Cleary Fitzgibbon even Crocker as a stand in Anasta and Maloney. Maloney's points contribution being in the top 3 seasonal point scorers will be sadly missed. Our for and against this season won't be like past seasons.

I wouldn't be so sure. Hastings can kick - he was just really nervous.

My pleasure furry friend..I'm going to have to start charging you fellas soon for my Miss Moneypenny type internet research. Few thoughts on the game;

Our middles were exceptional, there's not another club in the NRL who could lose their 2 best forwards and still have the quality rotation of Napa/Evans/Liu/Taukeiaho/Moa. Everything good we did came off the back of them.

I think Guerra might prove to be like a new signing, he was very poor last year but there's a lot to consider there. In the time between when SBW arrived to when he left Guerra has transformed himself from second rower to lock and now back to second rower again and despite what anyone says there's a huge difference between the two roles and requirements in his physical conditioning.

Jayden Nikorima looked very classy, I want to see more of this kid. We got a lot of good structure playing off him, kept the defensive line honest by playing direct.

Latrell Mitchell did good, his performance has been a little over-hyped but the signs were there that he's ready. Playing against fully grown men and still looked liked he was playing against kids at times.

Our kicking game sucked, kick like that against Rabbitohs and we will pay in field position. Neither Nikorima or Hastings have the boot Pearce does but they're both more instinctively creative which is what I feel we should play too, not necessarily attacking kicks but kick to space off the cuff. It's undoubtedly less consistent and thus you have less control but have a consistently, controlled shit kicking game isn't a great alternative.

Fergo struggled and big time, no issue with him dropping the bomb, we all knew that is going to happen regardless of whether we go with Mitchell or Fergo but there was a number of kicks that he needed to show the confidence to call and collect but was found wanting and hesitant every time. Not convinced at all!!!

Issac Liu, beast. Must be re-signed as of yesterday. Most under-rated player in the game.
