Our mid field kicking game has been quite poor

Fergo will take time. Mitchell deserves to be in the team. But geez I like skd as a winger. Such a strong ball carrier. I'm still an advocate of giving Mitchell the fb spot fergo centre and skd wing. Not much of a fan of Copley. He doesn't have the speed, agility or ball skills to be a centre.

I am a fan of leuluei but he is absolutely blowing and hanging back a bit in defense. Not ready for first grade imo. That is not to say he isn't a good prospect however.

Give him a few games... it takes getting used to the intensity.

Yeah he did look out on his feet at the end of his first start after about 25 mins on. Got back on in the final 7 and had a couple of really good dominant runs. Looks like Guerra and Aubo will be expected to play 80 this year so we might be able to carry another tight forward on the bench for shorter stints. Liu continued to kill it in the second half. He'll be massive this season.

Latrell Mitchell gave me goose bumps when he was stepping and weaving. He did not have do a lot in the second half but I did see him step off the mark like Inglis and I also saw him shoulder charge like Inglis...

Thoughts after the game:
* Niko a revelation... Apart from his footy sense a pretty defender.
* Latrell....his strength is scary against the older men.
* Guerra my pick of our pack...looks fit and firing early.
* very skinny 10m and in-goals.
* I feel so comfortable with young Horrie at half steering the ship.
* Fergo did OK...disregard spill in goal noone would have nailed that although his positioning and Toups lack of communication didnt help.

Did you see the hit Mitchell made on the big, bearded prop? The guy ran an Nikorima, but Mitchell came over the top and smashed him senseless. Boy he's going to be something special...
