Why do you think they are fake?

The guy taking the video can be heard saying "this will end his career".

Granted that Pearce's actions are his own but the guy taking the video is a low life carnt. Who would try to do that to another human being he just met and has not done any damage to you or anyone you know?

The Oaks Hotel is in Neutral Bay not Double Bay for starters. Like I said in the other thread, subpoena the Telco for the transcripts of the text messages if they do indeed exist. Anyone can cut and paste a tweet to make it look like a text message these days..

I understand he is a 26 year old man, a club captain, and paid a lot of money; but after watching it I think he is still just a kid, and more importantly a kid that needs help.

I am sure the club will do anything they can, but he needs a long time away from the game to get sorted and stronger.

always sceptical of things popping up out of the blue on social media, but unfortunately given the situation and the video evidence of Pearce's state the club simply must investigate the claims.

Infact I wouldn't be shocked if ASADA marched into Roosters HQ sometime over the last couple of days.

People are kids their whole lives when they don't have a family or mortgage to worry about. Hard to worry about life when you have nothing to worry about.

So only kids or a mortgage make you an adult? That is a stretch mate. I don't have kids and I saved enough cash to pay for a house rather than take a mortgage. I'm pretty sure I am not a 42 year old child although plenty would suggest otherwise

I wouldn't be surprised at all if they are real.

He can and will come back from this eventually but it won't be any time soon in my opinion. He is going to be suspended anyway so imo he should be proactive in accepting the consequences and this would ultimately allow people to forgive and forget faster.

Also, in regards to alcohol, abstaining may not be so simple and easy. Whatever restrictions are placed on him will place him under enormous pressure, even more so if he is not really an alcoholic but more a guys that enjoys the piss more than is good for him.
That is the best idea yet, would show he cares about himself and the club, would win alot of people back i think.

                          So true mate.

                          Further to your point Fletch:

The horse might have bolted as Asada would need to test ASAP as Google has just informed me that it stays within your system for only 2-4 days.

that's why I said blood/hair testing because those methods hold indicators for longer periods than standard urine testing.

I was at the Oaks, Double Bay on Australia day. I saw all the players. No one I saw looked liked they were on the coke. To be honest, the place wasn't busy at all. But, stranger things can happen as the night rolls on. I'm still dumb founded why the Roosters didn't keep a closer eye on these guys, history has a sickening way of repeating itself.

7:52PM... I think they were out a bit later than that. Also the screen's really bright, but isn't illuminating anything around it. Fake... nice try though.

Edit: Pretty normal giving out liney lineys... c'moooon... just casually giving out lines of coke to random strangers at a pub in Double Bay (classy end of town). NUP don't buy it. He's an idiot piss head (and is clearly drunk + obscene in the video) but this is just BS muck stirring. Will do a search for the origin of the image later on...
