Despite what many of you think, he's undoubtedly a great player. Clever and as Tobin said, he can lay on a try.
We lack a bit of experience too, and you need that balance of youth and experience in a squad. An old head to help steer the ship wouldn't hurt us at all.
Also, if the Tigers are footing the bill then where's the harm in that?
We don't need him. It will upset the side especially Friend who will then be looking for a release. You don't change your key players unless they are injured. Farah would want to play a good portion of the time. I can't stand the bloke and his Manager looks after a lot of players in the team and is good mates with Politis, that is a big reason why the Roosters have been named. Will be the dumbest move from the club if they go ahead with it

In other news the NRL are working overtime to help allow Souths to sign Burgess and Brisbane to sign Inglis + Te'o.
All will be given $1,000,000 each by completely unrelated third party sponsors, and no questions will be asked about the legitimacy of these 'third party' deals.
Edit: This isn't to say I ever thought Farah was a good idea - I suspect Nick was just trolling the NRL by saying 'well if other clubs can sign him dirt cheap, how about we do it for $100k... or right... you're gonna block it now?' If it stops Souffs for signing him as an Isaac Luke replacement (on $100k a year)... or some other scum from doing similar then I say we've done out job in trolling the NRL successfully.Last edited by ism22; 11-24-2015, 01:16 PM.

It's a disgrace, that's what it is.
The only sport I know that changes core rules of the game on an annual basis to assist with marketing, and this is the least of it.

It's called making up the rules as you go. Just as well there's nobody working at the NRL who maintains close links with other clubs - like Souths or Canterbury - or you'd think vested interests were a factor.
A fiction novel that is about a league that is run by representatives of two clubs where rules are maintained only long enough to see the selected clubs succeed.-.
Incredible.
Last year we were only two injuries from ****ing the system.

THAT SAID... I don't think you can remove 'cheats' mid-season, or apply the rules inconsistently on an ad-hoc basis. I was quite angry when Maloney's tactic of throwing shoes into the crowd was banned mid-season on the grounds that it was 'dangerous'. Whereas, every year there's a new tackling technique that has to wait out a full season or 2 until it's finally banned.
The NRL need to get real. How is it 'fair' to allow Souffs to sign Burgess on far less than his market value, and Brisbane to start looking at doing the same thing with Te'o when you're sending the opposite message about Farah?
IMO the NRL's biggest fear is having to put up with whinging fans from rigged teams who have serious problems handling it when we try using their tactics against them.

When I studied 'invasion games' (no joke, a university subject when I studied to be a PE teacher back in the day) the one thing I learned was that games need rules so that games aren't a rabble (we naturally find ways to 'cheat' the intended purpose of rules in order to get an advantage).

The Lurker reckons this Farah thing has cause a lot of trouble at our club?
Sydney Roosters co-skipper Jake Friend isn’t the only one filthy at his club’s secret approach to Robbie Farah.
As I reported on Monday, Friend was blind-sided by his club’s interest in Farah – reading about it in the print media – but other players
and several officials aren’t exactly impressed with Trent Robinson’s secret meeting with Farah.
It left Farah’s NSW teammates Boyd Cordner, Michael Jennings and Mitch Pearce in an awkward situation as they are also very close to Friend.
It’s unlike Robinson to get something like this so wrong and perhaps shows the pressure he is under to get results next year.
Take it as read, the entire ‘Farah to Roosters’ speculation has caused plenty of angst and damage at Bondi.
Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe

I can't recall anything the Lurker has ever got right especially about our club. He is a wannabe that nobody takes seriously.
