It's amazing how people can twist facts to suit their agenda. Des Hasler (and now apparently Rabs) saying the Elliot touchline decision cost the dogs a crucial try. Rubbish ! ...from the following set maloney got tackled on the final tackle and it was a handover,. there were at least two more sets from both sides before Fergusons try.
Elliot touchline decision was at the 62nd minute, Blakes try 68th minute . How they can cry foul on that touchie's error is laughable, it cost them nothing in the end.

I listened to parts of the MMM Saturday show the week previously.
Warren questioned how we could assemble such talent and stay under the cap. He cleverly stated this was the concerns "fans had raised with him" to prevent legal action on him directly.
10 years past it. Ch9 needs to wake up.
FWIW - I have no issues with Sterlo, Fittler, A Johns when he puts away the arrogance and M Johns. Voss has become clearly the #1 caller. I liked him state yesterday that he doesn't want an early mark, he wants the game to go into overtime. I love such passion.

I've been trying really hard not to post on this thread such is my dislike for this man. I don't need to listen to his radio rants to know his feelings on the roosters. Fortunately we don't get his radio program here.
The man is sickening in his bias. He for sure was death riding us on Friday, like he does every time we play.
When our opposition receives a dodgy penalty, it barely gets mentioned other than to say 'we must move on'. If we receive the dodgy penalty, he never shuts up about it.
The obvious glee in his call every time the dogs scored in their comeback.
And when Jenko got that late try you could tell the whole thing totally deflated him. (I couldn't help but laugh at gloat at the time).
And the way he tries to bring in the class warefare debate into his team allegiences is also laughable and prehistoric. I can hardly wait for this Sunday arvos game when we have the Ladidah Chooks up against the steelworker battlers of Newcastle. The legend Dan Buderus up against the might of the glamour 'how can they fit their star studded roster under the cap' Roosters. The salt of the earth newcastle supporters in their numbers in the stands against the teeny weeny group of roosters fans in the far corner of the stadium.
He and Gus may even lead another standing ovation from the commentary box for the Newcastle battlers at half time. All for our viewing pleasure.

The problem is that the TV rights have nothing to do with quality of the boradcast.

I mean, how can they justify Tim Gilbert (who I think has now been punted after his hopeless City v Country call) and Hadley? And how is it possible the game is not shown on free-to-air in HD?

The simple fact is that if you have the highest bid you get the gig. The rest doesn't matter.

I tune in with no audio.i attended the game. Ray Warren has a clear agenda as too ch 9. He is no longer a sports commentator just a tabloid like journo which suits the ch 9 market and programming.its somewhat uncanny when he was a true sports caller his agenda not nearly as evident however with the socio demographic of let's say Bondi changing immensely his agenda just like the refs is clearly evident of its increase. Ray Warren is no longer relevant with today's generation yet what he does display is covert hostility like many in today's modern society.
