Not so sure about Moa but I have heard more than has been mentioned here (not alcohol related to be clear) but Nene will end up at someone's feeder club. He is fat, slow and lazy. Everything you don't want in an outside back.

Are you talking disciplinary? Very keen to see what matagi can offer this week.

Not at all.. He would be one of the most professional and respected players at the club.

Just to clarify, I wasn't being serious with the Moa and alcohol thing.

Maloney is a better chance of staying than most are making out on here.

Latrell Mitchell won't play this weekend either fwiw.

I know, I had to clarify as some people (not Bigchook) aren't smart enough to realize when people are joking.

                  I concur

Uncle has a few tricks yet to be known,

By my reckoning 2 have been in a holding pattern, as I mentioned some time ago 'the Plane' was a big prospect especially since Parra's unlawful cap activity has made his contract null & void, but he looks to make the 53 which will tie him up for another shot at NFL next year

The second trick is, Izzy's contract is ended this year & is considering a return to NRL should the Japan off season deal falls through, shades of SBW before the last Rugby world cup hey!!!

Unrelated, but you think there's any chance SBW could return in 2017?

Penrith could be bolstered by the addition of another international forward with the Panthers in negotiations with Roosters prop Sam Moa for next season.
Fairfax Media has been told the Panthers have held several discussions with the New Zealand front-rower about joining the club next season alongside St George Illawarra lock Trent Merrin, who signed a three-year deal in March.
Moa still has another season to run with the Roosters, however it is understood the tri-colours have agreed to release the 28-year-old if he manages to strike a deal with another club.
While Penrith have expressed interest in Moa, his arrival at the foot of the mountains would be heavily dependent on the future of off-contract forwards Lewis Brown, Sika Manu and Adam Docker.
The Panthers will have some extra money in the salary cap with props Brent Kite and Nigel Plum to retire at the end of the year, however most of that money has been spent retaining the likes of youngsters Dallin Watene-Zelezniak, Waqa Blake, Reagan Campbell-Gillard and Tyrone Peachey.
The Roosters have already lost Roger Tuivasa-Sheck to the Warriors, while winger Daniel Tupou and five-eighth James Maloney are yet to be re-signed.
Meanwhile, South Sydney are set to sign Paul Carter on an 18-month contract. Carter was sacked by the Titans for two drink driving offences in two months.

I was hoping we'd sign Carter. He could be anything!

Now i'm hoping he gets on the cans and gives the Vermin plenty of grief.

Nene is not a football player. He is Dancing Dallas on the wing.

Moa is not worth over-spending on.
All the same, hate to see him go.......But JWH, Napa and whatever backup props that can produce a "good 10 minutes" will suffice . I guess.

Interchange ain't league, and it sux big time!

The Lions are touring NZ in 2017, so he may want to stay in union for that. Its a big tour, but not sure how highly he'd value playing against them.

so looks like we want to flip the heavy guys so we can be competitive with the new interchange rule coming next year. looking for the more slender faster prop style player (napa, sio). more durable fitter faster players, like touch footy.

Must have a lot to do with the cap ....you see what happened to Manly for example ...promise more for services in the future .....alas...can not be done I mean look at our team full of multi dollar stars now if we were to retain them all now and in the future our cap would need to be like 13 million.
Clubs are throwing big dollars at average players .in desperation even so-so players are getting offered half a mill.
We could do a manly ,canterberry ,Brisbane,Melbourne and completely cheat the system full on and keep our group together for 5 -7 years like they do and run the risk and empty the bank accounts.
Look at canterberry they have contested 2 GF's iI think last 3 years and shed no players but have added several? go Figure..same as Manly until now .
Moa moved on surprises me imensley but if has to be flicked and so be it.
We shouldve grabbed Merrin though when we had the chance.
Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe
