Hastings still has to prove himself, he is showing good potential but he still not up a permanent 1st grade spot at the moment, his time will come, Jimmy is a must sign right now for the next two seasons, I will be really peed off if we lose him.

I think the timing of that transition was impeccable.

You wouldn't have seen the same polished performer in RTS last year at fullback IMO.

As for the negotiations... You sometimes have to make decisions that are in the best interests of the club as a whole.. Not just the individual.

RTS wouldn't have been this good last year if he went straight to FB, in saying that he probably would have been better this year.

We should have re-signed him until 2016 like everyone thought we had. If that had happened, we could have extended his contract this year and had a gun FB at our disposal.

No I don't think anyone would make the argument that he would've been as good last year as he has been so far this year, but he still would've been one hell of a player.

I think Maloney will definitely be moving on, I just hope for his sake he doesn't go to Cronulla, un till they move move Flanagan on, they are a rabble, they need a big broom thru the place, from top to bottom, wont be any easy passage for Maloney to shine at that place.

When DCE was going there, GC had the issue of juggling around Elgey and DCE ...two halfbacks to fit into the side, one would have to convert to 5/8.
Now DCE is out of the equation, they've mentioned Hodkinson as a replacement ...same issue, two halves and one would have to convert into a 5/8.

But Jimmy fits their bill nicely, a goal kicking custom made 5/8 as a straight out perfect replacement for Sezer .... they will throw the kitchen sink at Jimmy !

We have wasted some cash on some amazingly bad players, over the last few months, not sure what the hell is going on there, its a pity , taking for granted Maloney is moving on, that Moses Mbye isn't off contract at the end of this season, he is to good a prospect to be wasted at the dogs, would of been the ideal replacement.
