Yeah Maloney one of the best 5/8ths going around etc but he cant go around forever ...I like a few others dont think Hastings is a 100% ready but capable of building into the spot.......I think the club has an ace up their sleeve if Maloney goes otheres may not like it but Im cool with it.Cant keep every one ...but RTS should never have been given a sniff that is really bad poker played by the club...but fark it there is always another RTS around the corner.

Offering Maloney less money than he's on now is 'criminal', insulting, and shows zero loyalty to this player.

Maloney's market price would be in excess of $650K per season you would imagine given DCE is getting $1 million+ and the likes of Sezer is getting $500K. Hell a club like the Titans with plenty to throw around (they've lost Myles and DCE for 2016) could well come in and throw a $750-800K offer at him and we will be completely out of the running.

If someone does come in with a big money offer for Maloney, the club is pretty much going to look stupid no matter what they do given either we'll lose him as well - making 2 critical spine recruitment failures in the same season - or the alternative is we throw the farm at Maloney to keep him, meaning we actually had the money to retain RTS all along who should have been a higher priority than Jimmy.
