Allianz Stadium to be demolished in 5 years time?

Only seemed like yesterday when I went to the first game there, it's a great ground for sure. It doesn't make any sense to knock it down.

I couldn't see the Baird government sinking all the money into another stadium at Moore Park anyway.Allianz needs a bit of an upgrade but it is a solid stadium with great view of the field even from the very back row up top. Upgrade Allianz with a roof[ hopefully a retractable one] if they can get rid of that stupid clause that ANZ has about being the only field which can have a roof till whatever year it is down the track.
I was always a bit dubious of this latest report because it was only last year they were talking about putting a roof on Allianz,not pulling it down.

I believe the plan is to leave the alterations to SFS until 2020 when the new Stadium would be finished.

Well, that would solve that, then. No need to look for an alternate venue.
