Absolutely. Without question. He is only 25 and he can win a game on his own. I'd put him in at lock or in the centres and watch teams stop running the ball. I'd fork out 600k for a player of his quality. He's in the mould of the Carney's, Thurston's, Smith's and Watmough's of this world. The kind of guys who can win games on their own. The kind of guys who get you to the finals on the back of a reasonably good season from them. The kind of guys who win you premierships.

I think you are forgetting the amount of time he spent off the field injured

forgetting everything else 600k for SBW imho is idiotic

I don't think he is a bad person nor an idiot off the field (could be wrong) its more the face he is as thick as a house brick (and a particularly dumb house brick at that) and has people manipulating him
The Internet is a place for posting silly things
Try and be serious and you will look stupid

I'm sure he has grown up plenty since then.

I would take him for sure in 2013.

I would prefer SBW running on the left edge to Anasta!
Thats an assumption if ever I heard one

I'd be happy with a rice pudding on our left edge in place of Anasta.

              Chook.

For 2013, I'd like to see who we have next year and if there is a salary cap increase. He will demand top dollar and not worth paying it at the moment.
If Linnett doesn't develop or be given a chance and we stick with Maubs then I'd take him and play him at centre.

Totally disagree. But anyway it's a moot point. He's not coming here.

Many believe his body was struggling to cope with the physicality of NRL at such a young age.

He looks to be injury free at the moment.

In my opinion he is the most complete footballer in both codes.

Strength, size, power, skill, intimidation, and has speed for his size.

He is a marquee player of the highest order.

Getting rid of Anasta, Ryles, Riddell and Mini would free up the necessary coin, and in the process get rid of dead wood.

We could get Locke relatively cheap also.

                    Go for it I say.

The same mistake that has led us to one premiership in 30 odd years. Sure Vasco, lets keep the same pattern of behavior.

We won 2002 largely due to the home grown element. Mini, Bonetti, Ricko, Flanners, Wing, Fletch, all these blokes that started young and as nobodies became premiers in their own right. Whats happened since? We stopped unearthing and building local talent like Symonds and went chasing Mason, Finch, Ryles, and now we are after Sonny Bill whilst on the same hand sounds are coming that Symonds is gone?

Nick's got money and passion. What he lacks is knowing how to clinch the Premiership deal. Its the only thing Nick's money cant buy.

I'm not saying we should go out there and buy ten players.

We have re-signed most of our squad for a few years. We keep them and put the icing on the cake with the best player in any code.

You still need quality players to win premierships.

Sure, we had a good core of young developed players in 2002. But we wouldn't have won without Freddy.

We can't win this year without Carney.

If I could put the brain of Ivan Cleary (a loyal clubman, who played for 10 years with not a whiff of idiocy) in Sonny Jimbo's head then I'd think about it.

Agreed there is a lot of dead wood at the chooks.

I would punt all of them after this year and see what is on the market.
Sure, Id take Sonny. Fuc, id even take Cher as well.
Braith is playing like a wood duck.
He is much better than that so I ont lay into him.

But Mini Ryles Ridell FPN can go. Mitch Aubusson is playing poorly.

The whole squad lacks fire and belief.
