You just didn't get the point. If the refs wanted Souths to win they wouldn't have awarded the penalty to the dogs 10 out and late in the count for what really was a 50/50 call. As a Roosters fan i would have expected an 8 point try and the final penalty if it were us and not Souths.
I have no issue with the 8 point try But the boot did miss I thoight the penalty you are referring to was a 100/0 call and had to be given I referee sport and you cannot ignore the obvious What you can do if you like is give every close call to one side (not that I have done such a thing But I know 1 or two who have ) If they are good enough they will win. Im sure had the Dogs taken the two points on offer their would have been an opportunity for the referees to give Souths another chance to win it

I will be honest, i would rather he made the wrong decision.
TBH, I dislike both teams so whatever the result, I would of been happy especially in the circumstances in which it occured.
i just think the behaviour of players and the dogs fans at the end was attrocious. Then again, the club has always attracted scumbags.
For what its worth, I think Graham is the best forward in the game by a long stretch. As a captain though, he has a responsibility to control his team. He lost it. Not good enough. Terrible look for the game.

Souths would have lost the option to tie up the game with a penalty goal.
Don't think the Dogs would have been thinking that with 6 mins left on the clock, they would have been thinking of going for a try to hopefully put them up 8pts if converted and put the game out of reach.

Maybe but lets be honest, what happened today rates a 1/10 compared to some of the shaftings we have copped in recent years, sometimes against Souths. I thought both teams got away with a bit and the Dogs had the opportunity to win the game in there hands.

We cop it for the entire 80 minutes in games But that was a terrible decision today I said to my eldest Brother when the Dogs got to the front by 1 Dont get too excited Im sure they will give Souths a penalty in kicking range

If it takes smuggling a slingshot into the next game I will do it if it guarantees us winning the penalty count. Put a bit of fear into the refs. They are getting too big for their boots. Start with the slingshot, progress to a military strength laser...the type that cuts skin and flesh. Then loosen Em up with a an electric cattle prodded as they are smarmimg their way down the tunnel......finish with the paddle and pommel horse in the refs room after match if we don't win the count.
You will see us winning penalties for the time in years i tell ya
I put my hand up and admit I'm a bad person, I laughed when the touchy slipped dodging the bottle!! I don't condone it, at all, but f@#k it I laughed.
Yes even someone else in my household said good when he saw the refs dodging the bottles and one getting hit, have to admit I didn't think much about it when it was first reported but seeing that actual footage from that angle it was a bit disturbing had a full bottle hit someone in the head.
Reports that a Souths supporter copped a coward punch outside of the ground is why I haven't been to dogs game for 5 years.
The penalty for the field goal was fair.
I thought the penalty try was suss. Morris missed him, Kassiano got him but I think they awarded him grounding the ball which I feel the head on shot shows he he dropped it.
Morris being pushed off the ball from the kick off, Inglis dropping the ball but got the penalty and Tyrell (I think it was him) playing the ball forward and then back and the ref calling "that was ok" are the three dud calls of the last 15 minutes which cost the dogs the game.
