riddell? can the guy even play half? id say jones or watts if he is fit by then or rhys jack would be an intelligent selection alternatively - more of a genuine half/hooker who can control the game/tempo and direct a side about whereas jones isnt really that sort of player but im sure smithy will figure something out.....

Sounds peculiar but don't discount Smithy experimenting with Jake Friend. He played the majority of his youth as a half-back. He was "poached" as a rep half then like most 7's he bulked up & became a hooker.
