I guess the annual membership package also includes the right to thumb your nose at non-members fans!!!
    Yep pretty much...

I have no problem with bandwagoners. I hope 100,000 extra Roosters fans come out of the woodwork.

It's the "favours" they want. The expectations and pressure they put on you for access codes, season passes, Grand Final tickets, ****ing t-shirts which I would be only too happy to give to J.T. or Hawkeye but not my " Roosters mates" who suddenly appear from nowhere.

It's like winning $2 million bucks and the phone starts ringing off the hook.
And that is it in a nutshell......

I dont mind doing anything for a mate.....but dont pretend you are my mate just to get me to do anything for you.......
For the record I already gave my codes to fans whom had been members for a while and fell on hard times this year, and Dallas Hood, whom I am very happy to help out so he and his Mrs can come down for the game.....

Well excuse me mate, sorry for my ignorance...but I had no idea about that...

To be fair, it was fairly well publicised. A lot of the football media (TV, magazines, press, radio, etc.) ran advertisements; there were links on the NRL website, etc.

Tickets were available to the general public from 27 July until a fortnight or so ago. This is the same every year (public has access to tickets for months prior to the GF).

Hopefully you get your hands on some tickets though, Dihard.

              That's what I did.

I don't mind the "bandwagon" I just hope we get as many Easts fans as possible down there on Sunday. I would imagine the Merge fans would of bought up a shit load in advance.

Sorry disregard my original post - I had no idea about the buyback scheme either. I thought you were just talking about tickets going on sale to the general public in July as opposed to the buyback scheme.

The NRL did a poor job of advertising that scheme.

From now on, why don't we just leave it at that. It seems to be the common link when things go wrong with the game.

Well I got my code due to st merge mates stocking up on tickets so that might be a good thing which in case quite a few members won't be using or giving away their membership numbers, regardless I will have a bit of a surreal moment as I look at my tickets after printing them

My older sister who basically has no interest in league rung me yesterday to see whether i could get tickets to the G/F,i tried to explain to her i was a non ticketed member so i was going to be pushing shit up hill to get a ticket myself let alone anyone else,i did have to laugh though because she rang when it was just going into the last 10mins of the AFL G/F, i answered the phone and said can i ring you back in about half an hour because i was watching the AFL G/F and she said i forgot it was on.my older sister is really interested in football

That wouldn't be the same mate who rung me today to tell he was coming down to watch the G/F at Easts Leagues and wanted to know whether his mate could into the club on G/F day even if he wasn't a club member?

This reminds me of the bandwagon support that the bulldogs received in 04, noone acrually truly supported the team and surely enough the next year they couldn't care less, the thing that gets me with bandwagoners is that by them attending the final, they are quite probably taking the ticket of other fans who really love and care for their team, and as annoying as it is, much of the roosters support on sunday will be from bandwagoners

Im still spewing baout 2002 when we diehards got locked out of the club on returning from the stadium.. my 2 work mates told how awesome the vibe was....they are souths supporters who hardly went to any RL game!!!! FFS....!!!

The club should ensure that the people who go week in and out and make an effort to go the game get access to have a celebration drink wiht the palyers, win lose or draw....make them sign upfor memebership before the day or to get into the party room at the club (do they still have one??...no auditorium!)
