So only fans that go to games, buy the merchandise and are active in forums are allowed to be happy for the Roosters when they have some success? i have been a fan since 75 & but went missing from the mid 80's to the mid 90's frustrated from the lack of success. I would be interested for a few rounds and then same old Easts failure would just make me forget I even liked the sport, until the next season and then start all over again. Does that make me a bandwagon type of fan?
With the small fan base we have, we should embrace any old fans returning and getting new ones to support our team. Success will bring more and more.
The bandwagon term is something other league fans call us. We shouldn't be acknowledging that by calling our fans bandwagon supporters.

That just sounds like a fan trying to get tickets to a almost sell-out grand final, i'm not a Roosters member and if i knew many people that were, id be ringing all of them, trying to make sure i got tickets to the game (i just have to try my luck on ebay/tuesday morning.)

I guess the annual membership package also includes the right to thumb your nose at non-members fans!!!

People like to get on their high horse mate...apparently they are better supporters...its shits me....why cant i have the same opportunity to get a ticket..i live out of sydney work 1-2 weekends a month, i in the middle of house reno's...I also have mates i see who are not into footy and also compromise with my raiders partner so we can watch them as well...I can be a season ticket holder...but no that aint ****ing good enough

I have been supporting the team a long ****ing time, and some of you know me and know that i aint no ****ing bandwagon supporter... ive been to hell and back but now when it comes to the biggest game in 6 years for our club..i have a shithouse chance of tickets...

I should be on a ****ing high but now I feel ****ed about it all...and by god how much fun will it be in a pub watching the one of the loves in my life play in a GF...one disheartend chook

I'm lucky with getting a ticket to the GF the easy way this year. My best friend is a die-hard St Merge supporter (much as I try to get her to see the light, it's just not going to happen) and she is a season ticket holder for them. She also buys GF tickets on both hers and her son's memberships as soon as they're first released on spec that the Drags will not choke, so she's had four tickets for quite a while now.

I'm a roosters member, but not a season ticket holder anymore as I can't make any Friday or Monday games due to working permanent afternoon shift, and I also often work weekend overtime, so getting to Sydney for a game is just about impossible these days. When I do get a weekend off work, I usually spend it catching up with friends and family that I don't see through the week, and settle for watching the games on TV instead.

Luckily this friend of mine has a spare ticket, and since she'll not be selling them this year and will actually be using them, I'm buying her spare from her. I'll be sitting with Dragons fans, but it'll be my first GF and I'm looking forward to it anyway.

I was in Argentina last year and home internet is not as advance as it is here. Hotels have better & faster internet. Argentina are a little more organized than Peru so...might have to have a chat with the embassy to see if they will help you out.

YES!! You are a bandwagon supporter if you lose interest when we are playing shit and then regain interest when we are playing good...

The NRL has a limited amount of tickets. Giving priority to paid season ticket holders makes sense to me. I mean the NRL and the clubs have made it quiet clear how important members and season ticket holders are to game. That's what this scheme is all about. How else are they supposed to allocate the tickets? Who screams the loudest at the tv?

Besides, you only really need to go to 5 or 6 games for a general admission ticket to be worth while. You don't have to line up for tickets, you get discount on merchandise and most importantly you get to buy tickets to the grand final a day before everyone else.

and if you live out of town, you should have bought your tickets in august the day tickets went on sale to the general public. The NRL has a buy back scheme so you can return the tickets if your team doesn't make it.

I used it this year while i was in europe for 2 months, you can even have my u/n and password if you want.

Don't think its live tho? I was listening to 2gb over the internet on my iphone live and then would watch the replay on aussie sport tv.

It doesn't work on Macs (and didn't say that until after they already had my money) so i had to run it in a windows vmware.

They have a couple different quality versions so you can watch a low quality version if your internet connection isn't great

fans should take the good with the bad. if they only appear (start wearing merchandise, claiming to be a supporter and attending matches) once a team is winning and want to share in the glory (think aucklanders if the warriors make the playoffs) then they're bandwagoners and not true fans.

Of course that doesn't apply to the non-sydney folk. the ones that support the team no matter what, wear the jerseys proudly and watch them whenever they come to town. it's the local ones who only want to go to matches and wear the jerseys when a team makes the finals which pisses me off.

My definition of a bandwagoner is someone who doesn't make mention of footy, go to footy, wear anything/own anything footy related throughout the normal season and then when their team begins to go well has the nerve to start sledging others who bleed for their club, buying the newest $170 jersey and claiming boasting rights.

So if that's the case, no you cannot have my membership pass or my email code. If you're such a die-hard fanatic, spend the cash and support your club the right way.

I'm with you phantom. My brother who wasn't going to the Grand Final if his girlfiend's team the Tigers didn't make it suddenly decides he wants to go.

He rings me today wanting me to get tickets for him, his girlfriend AND a mate.

I told him I didn't even know if could get them.

Then a Rooster mad workmate (who lives up the Central Coast) texts me and asks me if I can get 2 Grand Final t-shirts for him and HIS mate who I've never met. He works in ****ing Woollahra. Get them yourself!

Another mate who's a ****en Tigers fan texts me during last night's game to say if the Tigers win can I get him a Grand Final ticket to sit with me. **** off!

Dihard, if you have no luck don't worry mate. We'll all work something out.
