Sorry Mr. Fittler, I don't go in for those sort of backdoor shenanigans. That's not to say I'm not flattered, maybe even a little curious, but no way!

all very interesting, however i feel that we are neither bled dry nor even leaking, i do feel that our self confidence as a team has led to a personal empowerment for many in the tgeam, ie skid going for the intercept rather than defending the play? he felt empowered to do it because he knew he could get there and also knew our energy levels were draining fast, also if he tackled they were in field goal range! thus he had the self belief and confidence to do it both for himself, his team and his fans!

They can conquer anything after that win, they know it and we know it.

If he had of missed it and the tigers scored...oh the wrath from here would have been deafening...

As I watched the game on Saturday night and we were behind I thought "If we lose we have done so well this season it will not really be a shame". I am glad the players did not think that way. We have exceeded expectations and I am sure the players would be feeling that. With the win they would now have something that they feel they really have to prove with rising from the wooden spoon ashes.

That and also to deliver Smith his first title and rub Rothfield's nose in it.

It was either confidence or SkD thinking "I just want to get off this bloody field."

I'm leaning towards the first being forced by the second.

It was not a bullet pass. It lobbed very slowly and I don't think SKD was actually planning to go for an intercept. It basically fell in his path. Had it been from Robbie, Marshal or Louie then I think SKD would have been back in the defensive line.

Come on guys fire up. That was not our grand final. We are going to smash the Penrith riff raff this weekend! Think of the movie Happy Gilmore, "its only just begun ...".

Every game is a Grand Final now, no second chances, but I get what you mean Melon, I know the old saying about playing your grand final a week early etc, but its almost always said in hindsight, like back in 2000 when we played the knights and came back from 14 points down to beat them in the GF qualifier, then lost to Brisbane the week later.

I think its bullshit, you play your best every week, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, and if you try your best and still lose so be it.

You know I think you are too negative, thats been said, it just seems to me you take the shine off every win, if thats your way then thats fine.......i just wish you would enjoy the ride a bit more man.......

The thought that the game against the tigpies was Easts' GF crossed my mind but I'm hoping that Smith's experience will guide them through this new territory with his calm approach. This situation reminds me a bit of 2005 when Easts beat the Bulldogs to avenge the 2004 GF defeat but were roadkill after that game. I don't want to see a repeat of the roadkill bit after the emotional high of Saturday night.

I was at our soccer presentation night on Saturday. I just made a speech and presented some awards, and on the way to the bar ****ed it over from that bledisloe crap and saw it was extra time. I rode those minutes and when we won I ran through the venue, hugging and kissing team mates, their wives, bar staff and even the crusty old bloke that was on his 300 th beer.

I enjoy the wins don't worry about that. But I want these kids to go all the way. Because I think they can. So I tend to can down, and will them on to the next one.
