our wonderful selectors, picked players from a night before wet dream, not form l.
we had 3 blokes from the sharks ffs, struggling at the foot of the ladder, 2 guys from parra the worst attack in the nrl, a centre /wing pairing that lives of the brilliance of theor number 6, , 2 forwrads that play in a team that sturggles in the second half of matches, a 5/8 who should have been put to pasture 2 years ago.A halfback who def isnt ready for origin, was our only option but has never ever been the type of player who can spark something brilliant or take the game by the scrufff of the neck, look how many close ones we lost last season. WTF did we expect would happen
My team next year would be
hayne
gordon
jennings
lawrance
merritt
soward
pearce
lars
gidley(hooker)
L Stuart
what now
luke lewis
gallen
maubs
mannah
tupou
weyman
It is time to look ahaed not back.
I'd go this side next year. Kurt Gidley was dynamic at hooker and provided plenty of spark. He had a top game and was constantly a threat. I liked Bird and Gallen in the backrow together with Lewis. I thought they done a great job in just carting the ball up when nobody else wanted to. I thought Michael Jennings and Michael Gordon were solid and Jarryd Hayne improved in the 2nd half. All in all, I'd like to see most of that side last night kept on for next year's series. They've had a taste of getting close, now let them finish the job with a series win next season.
1. Jarryd Hayne
2. Brett Morris
3. Michael Jennings
4. Mark Gasnier
5. Michael Gordon
6. Todd Carney
7. Mitchell Pearce (c)
8. Tom Learoyd-Lahrs
9. Kurt Gidley
10. Michael Weyman
11. Paul Gallen
12. Luke Lewis
13. Greg Bird
14. Robbie Farah
15. Tim Mannah
16. Jason King
17. Anthony Watmough

Pearce is hardly what anyone would call a "dominant" player, never was never will be.
He is a gutsy young bloke who likes to get involved in the dirty, but dominant and being a matchwinner is not his go
Rooster Vs Goldcoast 2010 @ Skilled stadium bring back any memories????

At a football club, there’s a holy trinity – the players, the manager and the supporters. Directors don’t come into it. They are only there to sign the cheques.

has morris ever done anything in rep footy?
morris doesnt acually do anything for the drags other then put the ball over the line after some great work inside him
id much rather gordon, hayne (dugan fullback), j morris, or merrit on the wings
Why the **** the selectors keep going with this myth in Ennis i will never know but i thought Hayne finally had a good game along with Gidley,Gallen, Bird, TLL and Mannah, they all had pretty good games, and i loathe to agree with that red nosed git Dill Rothfield, but Ennis should never wear the NSW jersey again.

Roosters v anyone back half of last season bring back any memories???
roosters v warriors 2 weeks ago bring back any memories????
Pearce is not that kind of player, he is a worker, a grinder not a flair player.
He could win you a game in the first 60, im yet to see him win us a close one in the last 20.
That time will come rusty, hang in there.

Could have something to do with what Gus said pre-Origin. He said that by picking Farrah, you have to change everything about the team and the way it's structured, in order to accommodate him.
But with Ennis, you don't have to do that.
Having said that, maybe 'changing everything' wouldn't be such a bad thing?
