I like Mitch as a player but captain???? Coming years, yes, now, no! Gallen should probs be captain, it's obvious Gidley plays a hell of a lot better without the 'C' next to his name.
My side :
1. Hayne
2. Morris
3. Gasnier
4. Jennings
5. Gordon
6. Carney
7. Wallace / Mullen / Pearce. Whoever the **** is in the best form.
8. Snowden - Willing to stick with him even though he was MIA last night.
9. Gidley
10. King
11. Lewis
12. Gallen
13. Bird
14. Soward
15. Mannah
16. Learoyd Lahrs

The milkman is still a turnstyle in defence

He should have been picked instead of Barrett
Lockyer isn't the greatest defender either

Soward's defense is the one thing that holds him back, he should never play origin (while his defense isnt superb) for this reason. There's no questioning his attack, which is very, very sharp, but you can't afford to play a defensive liability like him for 80 minutes in origin.

Both woeful defenders
Soward has had Inglis run over him once, big ****en deal, Inglis runs over everyone, including front row forwards.
Soward / Pearce halves combo

Thurston on the other hand... well he's Soward esque in defence but the fact that he's the greatest attacking weapon in the game proven at every level makes up for it. Soward isn't even in the top 5 at club level so the negatives far out weigh any positives.
