    Ennis back?

they'll be hard to beat, as is everyone nowadays
Ennis is back, not that having Ennis there against the Knights helped and we've had all friggin' summer to shore up Idris' side of the field. We aint going to do it in 7 days.

There are some major issues in the make up of the side, they have tinkered with a couple of things in the structure and they have completely backfired. Add a poor off season with players not being able to train until late january due to surgery and the rep season and it's going to be a long winter.

I think you guys are missing Eastwood the most. He added that unpredictability to your pack.

I don't know why you guys are persisting with Yileen, looks like a bench utility at best.

I can't see the Roosters getting beat...they've got some serious strike power all over the park at the moment...

I went for 1-12 but would not be surprised if they hit the 40 mark again...

Apart from Idris and Barba they realy don't have any other options in attack. The only thing that worries me is that we may be flat from sundays game because it was played in extreme heat also they will come out fired up.

            One game at a time.....

None of this going in over confident....play the game starting with the basics, and gain momentum as the game progresses......

We have nothing to lose and everything to gain.....

Game plan for the year.....ONE GAME AT A TIME........

That's where Smith comes in, to keep their heads level.

As fans, we should be excited as to what we have seen so far. Barring injuries, we should have a good season.

I understand what you are saying Phantom, wise words indeed,

but its OK for US to be over confident, its almost EXPECTED of us , as FANS,

we get to enjoy winning and enjoy being confident for the whole week til we play our next game, plenty of time to worry and be doubtful IF AND WHEN we get beaten,

and even then its OK, because we get to analyze where we went wrong and gain confidence again for the following week. Im confident we will put up a good effort against the dogs, and its based on fact, if we dont let ourselves get confident now , when will we get to enjoy it?

I think we will win and win well, the dogs will have improve greatly, and we will have to drop off greatly for them to win, I just dont see any reason that should happen,

Obviously I dont want our players overconfident, and I dont think Smith, Anasta, Pearce or Myles will let that happen, but i want them running on the field KNOWING that if they play to their ability, and put in an 80 minute effort, they will more than likely win the game there is a big difference between confidence and over confidence, and we need our players to be confident in their ability.

In a weird sort of way, the last 20 minutes against the Tigers could be a blessing in disguise.

If they did not score those late tries and we got to 50+, the press all this week would be printing many pro-roosters articles. And the players would be believing all the hype, like the vermin scum did before round 1. They would start thinking that it is all too easy.

Smithy was not happy with the last 20, and instead of trying to keep the ego's in check, would be blasting them for a crap last 20 minutes. Even in the post match interview, he stated that even jr jr stuffed up a couple of times with bad options.

It will be the first time this year we will probably be favourates in the betting, thus it is up to coach Smithy to keep there ego's in check.

If we rely on sheer talent we win by 30, if we start reading and believing all the hype in the papers we win by 10.

                      Round 3 Teams Up

                      Todd Carney
                      Anthony Minichiello
                      Shaun Kenny-Dowall
                      Phil Graham
                      Sam Perett
                      Braith Anasta (c)
                      Mitchell Pearce
                      Lopini Paea
                      James Aubusson
                      Jason Ryles
                      Aiden Guerra
                      Mitchell Aubusson
                      Nate Myles

Interchange from: Ben Jones, Frank-Paul Nuuausala, Daniel Conn, Brad Takairangi, Nick Kouparitsas.

wouldn't surprise if we see hot conditions again this Sunday as forecast that they decide to rest Ryles he clearly struggled in the conditions last week and we only have a 4 day preparation for the Broncos on Good Friday.

also would prefer to see Leilua on the bench replacing Takairangi who added nothing when he came on against the Tigers.

in the short space of time he was on the field Sunday, he spilled one ball while trying to get a quick play the ball and was responsible for a horrible missed tackle towards the end when he was two slow to cover an inside ball that led to one of the tigers long range try's.

for a player that was fresh on the field when others had been out there flogging themselves for 65 minutes he should have put in a better effort, on the balance of the trials and form in the NYC so far Leilua has showed plenty of potential.

Spot on fletch - Takairangi should have been much better with his limited time on the fied. I would also like to see the back of Kouparitsas. As for Leilua, perhaps a bit too young just at the moment?
