As if Noyce gives two shits, he'd rather see us play out of Christchurch or Queenstown or some other unknown place on the south island of New Zealand every 2nd week.
Manly, Tigers, panthers and even the dragons seem to be in similar positions to us.
our 2009 season will be a Major Detriment to season ticket/memberships.
But we say that Noyce doesn't give two shits......................how? Because one game is in NZ???
Our season ticket pack advises there will be 2 games not played in the Sydney area, that has been the case for the past 2 - 3 seasons, so you can hardly say that this is Noyce's fault.
As to season ticket/membership sales, they will be down this year for the roosters, you can BANK on that. there are fans out there that do not want to be associated with the Roosters after the 2009 season. The only thing that will change that is better performances by the team on and off the field.
So can we say that some Fans don't give a shit???

To love Easts is to hate Souffs

At a football club, there’s a holy trinity – the players, the manager and the supporters. Directors don’t come into it. They are only there to sign the cheques.

The home games not at the SFS may have a minimal impact .... debateable ?
Additionally ... I know of several supporters who have not bought a tix membership for 2010, and said they would've bought the 5 game package, IF it wasn't for pre-determined games.
Surely one of the more ridiculous decisions by marketing in recent times. The 5 game pack is a good idea, but undermined by pre-determining the games.
Considering we never sell out any home games, I just don't get why they have locked you into a set of 5 games ....surely it should be for any 5 games the member can get to !

Well he signed off on the rubbish marketing came up with is how I came to that conclusion that he doesn't give two shits.......check out the Souffs or Dogs memberships, our options are a deadset mile behind. (in particular for children who the Dogs separate from concessions and pretty much give away as they know for every child member you get you will lock in an adult as well)

Noyce and co haven't given us a reason to give a shit - it's similar to why Tigpies, Panfers etc etc take up is so low, you never hear anything out of either of those clubs as well in relation to memberships, whilst with Crowe or Greenberg you'd think either place was going to blow up if you don't sign up and be a part of the club. The brochure Easts sent out to me made me feel like I was signing up to be on a B Grade Celeb show or something, not a part of a Rugby League club.......it was rubbish.
I just don't get why we released our membership packages so late? It was something ridiculous like 2 months after Souths released theirs... marketing and admin really didn't have an excuse it's not like they were tied up with promoting anything (e.g a finals series). It happens every year and when clubs like Souths should be viewed as our direct competition it's not acceptable to give them a 2 month head start.
R6 - I am not sure getting the packages out earlier would make too much difference but I agree there is no reason not to.
I find it interesting that a team like the WT who have a big supporter base have relatively low season ticket holders. COuld it be that their fans are still pissed that the Noyce regime of taking games to whatever stadium pays the most has an adverse effect on their membership dollars. why is it they fill Leichardt and Campbelltown most games but they still only play 3 games at each a year.
Interesting also that we had Freddy's 5000 that from memory reached 6000 only to fall to 3200 in 2009 when really we should have had more than 3200 before a game was played in 2009

Freddy 5000 was a campaign for members including ticketed members. The 3200 figure quoted in 09 I believe were ticketed members. Undoubtedly we had more "members"
FC, I think most on here, well definitely myself, are getting memberships in the New Year. No matter where we finish, i will always get one, but I can understand why people wouldn't want to be associated with us. It's stuff up after stuff up, even simple things like having a working and informative website seems difficult for our club, or offering good memberships, or giving ample warning (like BEFORE people buy memberships) about changing games to different cities and countries.
All we want is to be communicated with and not be treated like imbeciles. The CEO is, marketing is, the players are. It shouldn't be too hard for a "professional" sports team.
