There's your problem.
Stop listening to this goose.
He said he told Smith before and Smith was gonna fix it...not fixed yet at the time he told us recently.
The goose in this case seems to be the NRL.

BB.
Change Dr's & medication…it's not working. In fact it is making you worse.
The NRL is a mess atm, no argument, but do you seriously think that we, & the hundreds of thousands of supporters, will stand by & let what you predict happen?
It would split the League once again, back to the dark ages of Rupy League.
Ain't gonna happen, dude. Fact.
Let the $ strapped clubs go with the demands that you say are going to happen.
What a great comp they will have. The rest will tell Smith & Co. to go shag the moon.
The more successful clubs will go their own way, again, and wait until this "new age" implodes.
Seriously, think it through.
I have no argument with best person for any position….but DO NOT dictate the gender.
Clubs will revolt.
Believe it.

I believe the NRL, when they don't get their own way, will make their reforms a condition of obtaining a licence to play in the NRL.
It's not I saying it...it's the NRL saying it;

Some of our current Board members also...gone, not independent.
Is the Roosters the only club that's run well today and where there's no in-fighting?

Lyrics;
I was standing by the window
On a cold and cloudy day
When I saw the hearse come rolling
To carry my club away
Will the circle be unbroken
Bye and bye Lord bye and bye
There's a better home a waiting
In the sky Lord in the sky
I said to the undertaker
Undertaker please drive slow
For that body you are carrying
Lord I hate to see her go
Well I followed close behind her
Tried to hold up and be brave
But I could not hide my sorrow
When they laid her in that grave
I went back home Lord that home was lonesome
Since my club, she was gone
All my brothers and sisters crying
What a home so sad and aloneLast edited by bondi-boy; 07-08-2014, 08:51 PM.

Exactly my point.
They will tell them all to go root ya boot.
You cannot change the terms & conditions of a license as dramatically as you think.
How many clubs would sign away their birth right as easily as you think they would?
Only those that are desperate for survival.
That ain't us, baby. And we are not alone.
How many clubs would be in this new Smiffy League that you envisage? 4….5? great that should make OUR comp easy to sort. Play each other twice….home & away & then get to the finals.
They would not be game to go down this road once again. It almost destroyed our game before.

Far out BB, all this fuss about possibly having a woman or 2 on a football board. I can guarantee that they could teach most of those already on it a thing or two about budgets, behaviours etc.
I mean in many households it is the woman of the house who handles the money and disciplines the children.
There are plenty of intelligent female chooks supporters out there who are more than capable of sitting on the board of an NRL club, and who would be seen as independent as they have no other official connection with the club. No one has ever said that being independent means supporting the opposition!
Get a grip and move with the times. Which is the problem with rugby league in many ways, it has to be dragged kicking and screaming into the present, because it would rather live in the past. And misses so many opportunities to improve and further its profile and reputation because of it.

The game is in the best shape it's ever been in.
There will always be issues and the need for change.
But at least now we have a game run by the stakeholders not by a media company who raped us of our assets for their own profits.
The doom and gloom comes from one section of the media.
They couldn't make their agenda more obvious but of course the sheeple fail to see.
I can see it in his eyes, in his breath.

A mandated by the NRL independent female Chair, or one appointed from the three mandated by the NRL independent board members of our Club [Roosters supporters are not independent]...means that Nick Politis will be sacked as Chairman by these NRL appointments.
"Thanks for all you've done for Easts over the decades, here's a cheap gold watch, we'll take over this club now"
Baaah!
My beef is not about a woman/women being on our board...it's about them being mandated by the NRL...along with so called " three independent board members" replacing our current board members.
Sharks supporters running the board there worked out well...not.
Everyone has a club and team, no one is independent...the new Governor of NSW has declared that he's a Souths supporter.Last edited by bondi-boy; 07-09-2014, 05:41 PM.
