Now this kid has fronted up and plead guilty, a good start but a 1 week ban in the off-season & petty 2k fine is as weak as it gets, both Souths & the NRL 'integrity' unit should be ashamed of their actions. That's less of a punishment than what Pearce got for getting booted from a night club.
I like Dave Smith, I think he's doing great things for the game especially off the field but at the moment this is his & the games big dark secret. I don't know if they think they can get away with it because he's a no-name but Dave Smith has dead set made a mockery of the White Ribbon Organisation & in the name of our great game. We deserve answers and it's a shame the media haven't pressed the powers that be on this one, instead they (both the media & NRL executives) seem to be more worried about the victim-less crimes of Konrad Hurrell & Todd Carney.
I'm a huge fan of what the White Ribbon do so if you get a chance check out their website & take the pledge, I don't think people actually realise just how prevalent domestic violence is.

Once informed by the player, the Rabbitohs say they reported the incident to the NRL's Integrity United immediately on January 18 and stood the 22-year-old down from all club duties for a week and issued him with a $2000 fine.
