I wished they had waged a similar effort to get that prick Sam Burgess suspended for the GF like he should have been due to the smash across the face he gave SBWThe Internet is a place for posting silly things

Probably....nothing?
I think it's disgraceful regardless that they waited so long to make a decision when in the case of others, the NRL has acted swiftly in handing out punishment. There is way too much inconsistency

Personally, I think the NRL have done the right thing by waiting.
Remember when they jumped the gun and suspended Brett Stewart? He was eventually found not guilty and Gallup looked like a prat. Beetroot face was one of those leading the outrage about how he was unfairly treated. Now he's moaning because they didn't jump the gun. Basically, he just hates the NRL these days since he's been shut out, and will use any opportunity to slag off Dave Smith.
I reckon they're better off playing it safe these days by waiting for the verdict. At least then the punishment is more likely to fit the crime. If they'd have suspended this latest grub at the time he was charged, he'd have probably got 4 weeks.
The only unfortunate thing about doing it this way is that he now has a premiership, but I don't suppose you can have it all ways.
Anyway, just to recap, fcuk souths.

While I understand that the NRL had to wait until the court case was settled before handing down their punishment, there was no reason why the Filthy Vermin couldn't have made their own stand and stood him down as a matter of principle once he pleaded guilty in May. But the likes of Richardson, Maguire, Rusty and Co had no issue with continuing to play him and I have no doubt sought a deferral of the decision on the court case until November so it would not impact on playing the lowlife grub this season. It is the Filthy Vermin who should be ashamed of themselves with the way they have handled this situation.
Mind you, this is the same club who paid Inglis' legal bills for his very same issues when the Broncs quite rightly refused to have anything to do with and Inglis walked away from them because of it.
But at least we now have a better idea of what the slogan 'Souths Cares' really stands for and what it doesn't stand for. And what it doesn't stand for is supporting victims of domestic violence. And what it does stand for is that they care about players who commit criminal acts.
Rusty and the Casino King should be so proud.Supporting the RW&B, through good times and bad times.

The South Sydney Rabbitohs have stood down player Cody Walker indefinitely following two charges over an alleged incident in October.
Walker was charged with Stalk or intimidate intending to cause fear of physical or mental harm (domestic violence offence) and common assault (domestic violence related).
Walker informed the club of the incident at the time and the Rabbitohs informed the NRL Integrity Unit of the incident immediately.
The Rabbitohs have stood down Walker from all duties with the club including training and he has not been permitted to fly to the United States with the team for the high altitude camp.
The Rabbitohs are reviewing all of the information in conjunction with the NRL Integrity Unit and any further decisions in regards to this situation will be made following the completion of those investigations.
Walker is newly signed to the Rabbitohs and the incident is alleged to have occurred before his contract began with the club. Walker has not played in the NRL to date.
The club will make no further comment at this stage.

'Sports scientist' used the Rabbits as guinea pigs
http://www.smh.com.au/sport/the-fitz...21-11r6y8.html
A highly controversial "sports scientist", who was at the centre of an NFL storm after he provided players with "deer antler spray" that they allege contained banned substances, is in dispute with South Sydney over the supply of "products" to the premiership-winning team in 2014.
Mitch Ross, who, among other things, also once sold products in America that he claimed – no, really – "can reverse the effects of post-concussion damage to the brain", turned up at Souths this year. My informant says he provided Souths "all sorts of substances", and he says the dispute now is that Souths won't "pay him ... for his services".
Souths chief executive Shane Richardson strongly denies this, saying: "The club has never entered into any contract either written or verbal with Mitch Ross ... Conversations have taken place with [coach] Michael Maguire where he agreed with Ross to 'experiment' with two of his products on a complimentary basis. These two products were cleared by our testing agencies, as well as by the NRL. The only invoice we have received has been for around $6000 – for products which were supposed to be 'free' – which we have refused to pay as no purchase order has ever been raised or approved. The club has no intention of purchasing any products from Mitch Ross in the future."
Watch this space, sports fans, it might get interesting. My central query is why, most particularly in the current ASADA environment, would you not run screaming from the room, and burn the clothes you were in at the time, when made an offer to provide "products" by such a man when a simple Google turns ups allegations that Ross has already been successfully sued by St Louis linebacker David Vobora "after Vobora tested positive in an NFL drug test a few years back" after taking products provided by Ross that he thought were fine.
"There's not a lot positive about this guy," Vobora is quoted as saying.
Seriously, with allegations like that, how on earth could he be let within a bull's roar of Souths?SUPER DRAGON!
