I expect those 2 professionals to let go & move on
Robbo seems sharp enough as a professional coach to bring them back to earth
I trust this ripple is already consigned to history
Peeps need to let this go as well

BBQ was in career worst form with us before Origin. It is a long bow to blame Pearce for him not being selected. If he was killing it for us he would have been selected.

            They did make a spin-off.

James "Jimmy" Maloney was not playing good enough football to warrant selection for New South Wales regardless of what happened to Mitchell "Jnr Jnr" Pearce. It is absurd to somehow blame young Pearce for the non-selection of Maloney.

Daley is on record saying pearce would be the halfback for NSW, bbq who was injured needled himself up and played to i believe prove to daley he was good to go as daley wanted a club halves combination and was going to stick with the incumberant pair, after the incident with pearce he did go with a club haves pairing.Unfortunatly not ours.

                    So is that PearceOrfs fault???

I don't understand this halves combo idea. Both halves stood each side of the field in origin, in fact most sides do that.

To add Baloney plays on the left as does Steven Hodkinson Bradbury. On that left side are DoubleSteamer and AV. They are Baloneys teammates.

Wouldn't it be smarter to use Baloneys combo with his centre and winger??? Surely he could wear 7??? He kicks goals too.

IMO the halves combo was an excuse of convenience. Especially considering Baloney got worked over last year by Thighaday in origin.

Baloneys form was ordinary and hasn't really improved much. Sure he may be injured. But to blame PearceOrf is unfair and rather soft IMO, considering the circumstances.

                    You know it makes sense.

So it's appropriate to say baloney wasn't picked last season on form, it was also cos of PearceOrf???

Um I think last season they were both picked on form and the fact they play in the halves for the same club Maybe you see it differently

Perhaps the Mitchell Pearce incident was the excuse to drop a horribly out of form James Maloney but with no goal kicker in the team then Trent Hodgkinson at halfback was the logical choice as he is a goal kicker and the halves partner of Josh Reynolds and in the end the poor form of James Maloney cost himself and Mitchell Pearce a spot in the Blues squad. Laurie Daley could quite easily have played Maloney and Reynolds in the halves as Pearce is not a goal kicker but the "combination" excuse gave him the out he required after foolishly backing his incumbent halves in public.

James Maloney quite frankly did less than Jamie Soward and Todd Carney in the previous series' and they were both dropped from the team. It is not unfair to suggest that Maloney deserved the fate but his goal kicking was a sticking point in such a decision.

I reiterate the point that had Maloney's own form been a lot better he would have stayed in the squad regardless of the Pearce incident.

I disagree and recent selection in the halves backs me up

I do no believe that It does not back you up at all. James Maloney quite simply did not deserve selection based on his own club football form.
