I've never heard anyone mention that before.

Even Brainac and sTrewth and they hate Maubs cos he's better looking than both the carnts.

In fact I've only ever heard the opposite. Especially with SKiD at centre. The old put Maubs into the centres and SKiD to the wing cos SKiD can't tackle between two players.

Maubs is the best defender in our club, in any position. I recall last year someone posted the most effective defenders in the game and I'm positive Maubs had the lowest miss ratio in the comp.

I've heard people question his size and his speed but never his defence.

That's out there.

Hello mate, haven't posted anything since before GF win, only just sobered up! so I hate to disagree with you, but I distinctly remember in the bad old days, pre-Trent Robinson (from now on to be known as PTR), that Maubs was the only one available to play centre, he had some shockers reading the defensive centre play & was widely thought of as a weak link when picked in the centres, he just didn't cop more flack because there was no one else better available & he was still great when picked in the back row. That's the way I recall it anyway, I might also say that his defence when playing in the backs has improved immensely, especially after PTR! . Still, not sure how much you can count on my memory of events of the past, I've been drunk since October!
