By the way, Mason showed up walking in like he owned the place.

He had little Mitchell Pearce in tow (which shattered me).

Mason then proceeded to take over the whole evening.

He was bidding on all the auction items for charity and ended up winning a couple of them.

When the girls came to get his credit card details he said, "**** off! I'm not paying for them".

I am not sure if he was trying to be funny or he was serious.

I am going to find out if he did pay for the items he won (and we are talking a few thousand dollars).

If he didn't it speaks volumes for his character.
    omg you lot are hilarious
heaven forbid the guy have a sense of humour!!!!!!!
the mason bashing has reached an all new level of paranoia right there!!!

Where's the humour in pledging money to a charity and then telling them to **** Off...??

If that is indeed what he did...

But thats MAson's humour. he would have paid for sure, with a tip. Willie likes being teh black sheep. What could draw more shock and Awe than Willie telling teh Marketting girls to Eff off when they came to collect?

Its like him signing C. Fitzy. Its a silly prank, but thats all it is. A prank. in the end I doubt the charity didnt get their cash. Willie spends more than that on lunch!

bidding for something and then joking that you're not actually gonna pay for it... i can see humour in that. maybe with a few drinks his language was slightly inappropriate, but thats a stretch...

there is no humour in that.

there are some turds in our society who do bid and buy at auction but then actually refuse to pay.

wouldnt surprise me if mason fits into that category of turd.

If Mason had of sat their politely said nothing to anyone, the media would blow it up as inappropriate behaviouror being was told to sit their and shut up by the heirachy at the club, what he said would have been tongue in check much like the support of finch, I guess you have never played a prank or pretended you were not going to do something.

If he paid for the goods then there may be some humour in it..

If he didn't pay as our report suggested then thers is no humour in it IMO..

Which was why I added "If that was indeed what happened"..

Which is why I want to find out whether or not he paid for the things.

But even if he did - I simply don't see the humour in it.

The way he acted he was not happy at all to be stuck with the things. And I am not surprised - I think it was something like an AFL Jersey, a Roosters jersey. and some other piece of garbage.

If it wasn't for The Brain's mate Harry the night would have been a disaster because Mason almost got Fitzy's 250th game jersey. He managed to outbid him (I think $6K) and then presented it to Fitzy's parents saying it cannot leave the family.

I fail to see how one man being part of our team can make someone not want any involvement with the club, because at the end of the day the Roosters are bigger than one man......

each to their own.....but for me, the Roosters come first and the players come second......not the other way around.....
Phantom, I am fortunate that over the years I have taken a lot of 'happy snaps' of the players at corporate events, including Fitzy and many other former favourits, including Shack, and no one can take those memories away. I was actually looking through them the other day and there were some I'd forgotten I'd taken, espec one of my friend and I with Shack and Shillo I swear I hadn't seen before

I don't apologise for my stance on Mason and my refusal to be involved with the Roosters whilst he was there. Me not giving the club my hard earned was the only practical way I could 'protest' at the Club's decision to sign him. Money is the only thing that matters to football clubs. It is a business after all.

The fact is I wasn't happy with the direction the Roosters were taking in some of their decisions, on and off the field. The signing of the Wanka was the last straw. And so I took a step back and have no regrets.

The Club has yet again changed direction since the disaster of 2009 and that can only be a good thing. There is just one final piece to put in the puzzle before I'll feel comfortable being actively involved with the Roosters again - the departure of Willie Wanka.

Whether that happens this year or next I can't control. But I'm happy to wait on the sidelines until then.

In the meantime the Clovelly Crocs benefit from my footy money - which I regard as a positive outcome.

The guy has attention deficit disorder. He's a child in a mans body and a complete social misfit. Seen him at The Sheaf many a time. If he wasn't a footballer, he'd be a thug and a jailbird like his brother. A very poorly bred fellow.

I doff my hat to The Brain's mate Harry - that was a classy thing to do buying that jersey and presenting it to Fitzy's parents. Bravo Harry, bravo.

He said that they can't give it away or sell it. The jersey has to always be in the family so it can be seen by Fitzy's grandchildren and they can be told about what a champion he is.

The parents were very touched - as you could imagine.
