  • The Fitzy Farewell

I see there is no thread about the great night given for the great man.

Was I the only one from here present?

      It was excellent.

Not as emotional as the awards night.

Much more casual (I think I was the only idiot with a tie).

I want someone else to do a report on it.

I am not good on those reports.

And it was one fo the best nights ever....

Great to see so many old faces and a few from other clubs come to pay their respects....

              He was and he did.

He said that they would find something for him to do in the club when he comes back.

I then spoke to someone who is very much involved in the management and recruitment and he said that there is a possibility of bringing him back for one year after he is finished (but I think he was just getting carried away and emotional on the night).

By the way, Mason showed up walking in like he owned the place.

He had little Mitchell Pearce in tow (which shattered me).

Mason then proceeded to take over the whole evening.

He was bidding on all the auction items for charity and ended up winning a couple of them.

When the girls came to get his credit card details he said, "**** off! I'm not paying for them".

I am not sure if he was trying to be funny or he was serious.

I am going to find out if he did pay for the items he won (and we are talking a few thousand dollars).

If he didn't it speaks volumes for his character.

He bid for the silent auction items at the Trivia Night. I ended up missing out on the Torres signed jersey to his bid. I would be majorly pissed off if he didn't pay for them

Willie will pay for the items. One way or another.

We should bring him back for that final year in 2010.

He is genuinly shattered to leave.

Now that made me laugh. I'll definitely pay that PTB.

Much as I would have loved to be there, I'm glad I didn't go since the Wanka was 'in the house'. After a few vinos I probably would have disgraced myself by throwing a bottle of red over him and telling him exactly what I thought of him - and it would not have been pretty. Entertaining, but not pretty.

And I would have hated myself for ruining Fitzy's farewell like that.

Much safer that I stay away from anything to do with the Club until the Wanka's off the premises entirely. I'm not to be trusted to keep my big mouth shut.

It sure does and not good volumes either IMHO. The sooner the cancer is cut the better for the Roosters and for Jnr Jnr in particular (if it isn't too late of course). IF it is too late AND Jnr Jnr IS affected by the attitudes of BWM, then what to do?
