And he should never have been let go of by the Roosters, however it transpired. FFS, can't they see the value this guy brings transcends what he does on the field?

By the way, Mason showed up walking in like he owned the place.

He had little Mitchell Pearce in tow (which shattered me).

Mason then proceeded to take over the whole evening.

He was bidding on all the auction items for charity and ended up winning a couple of them.

When the girls came to get his credit card details he said, "**** off! I'm not paying for them".

I am not sure if he was trying to be funny or he was serious.

I am going to find out if he did pay for the items he won (and we are talking a few thousand dollars).

If he didn't it speaks volumes for his character.
      You can't be serious

      Can you?

Carney is the best halfback at Easts, so I hope MP stays in tow, and ****s off also..

Manly would be perfect for both of them...

I agree with your sentiment on MP. He can join his mate Kieran Foran at the flying vermin and wreak havoc over there as far as I'm concerned. That would see either of Ben Jones or James Aubusson join Todd Carney in the halves and that would be fine by me. Flame away ...

For me, it would leave Anasta and Carney in the halves..

Whatever his off-field behaviour might be, next season is a looming as a pretty important one for Pearce. Without Matthew Johns wrapping him ad-nauseam, he needs to show he's more than a kickaholic and start having some genuine impact in matches.

Hugely overrated thus far, but as someone else suggested, he deserves the opportunity to play in a properly structured side. He'll get that opportunity next year.

Time to stop reading the papers Mitch, and step up

It appears that Manly may be looking for a new half beyond 2010. Interesting goss coming out of there at the moment.

I believe that Brian Smith will tell Pearce in no uncertain terms what is expected from him, both on and off the field. Whether the Wanka is at the Club or not.

And if he stuffs up off the field, and is caught out, the new 'code of conduct' the players have to abide by will take care of the rest.

He's living on the edge and has been for a while. If he doesn't pull his head in, sooner or later he'll slip over the other side and have to suffer the consequences.

If that means he's no longer part of the Club, so be it. If doesn't want to live by the new Rooster rules, then he has no future at the Roosters. It's that simple.

Keiran is off contract at the end of 2010. And I'm sure I read here recently that Liam is still at the Roosters/Jets even though it was reported that he'd returned to to Manly.
