He was then asked about SBW next year. He sounded like he'd be surprised if Sonny doesn't re-sign.

I'm pretty sure I heard that Trobbo will be on the Game Plan on Thursday Ch 1 .... shall be interesting to see how he answers the inevitable SBW question and if it gives the same impression as this radio interview !

Pearcey in a press conference and the DT said today about how good SBW has been in terms of delivering a professional work ethic and culture and stuff to the club, anyone worried it will unravel when he leaves? Like the discipline, not so much behaviour in the public and stuff, but the discipline and culture at training and stuff? Like is anyone worried the standards and attitude will slip if he leaves?

There are some smart questions there.

Does it worry me? Yes, very much.
I can't believe professional sports people need to have someone show them how to behave with respect and perform with discipline in the first place.
Fingers crossed players of the likes of JnrJnr an JWH have grown up enough to lead in the locker room as well as on the pitch.

There is a rumour that Blake has already done a deal with the Dogs and has attended a goodwill training session last week, it appears the replacement needed for Barba to seek a release has already been found. Sounds like Oasis all over again.

Canberra Raiders player Blake Ferguson will face court after allegedly being caught speeding while his licence was suspended.

Police allege Ferguson was driving at 128 kmh on the Hume Highway near Moss Vale last Saturday.

He is due to appear in Moss Vale Local Court on October 21.

A spokeswoman for NSW Police confirmed a 23-year-old man was issued with a ticket for travelling 18kmh over the speed limit.

"Police checks revealed the ACT driver's licence was already suspended," she said.

The Raiders, who still have not been able to get in touch with Ferguson since he travelled to Sydney on Saturday, said they were only made aware of the alleged driving offences on Thursday morning.

"If the allegations are correct, it will come into consideration when the Raiders board meets with Blake," a club spokesman said.

The wayward centre was yesterday stood down by Canberra, effective immediately.

Raiders chief executive Don Furner attempted to make contact with Ferguson on Tuesday and Wednesday but was unsuccessful, with the New South Wales State of Origin representative having missed training this week.

"We have been left with little choice but to stand Blake down from all playing and training duties, until we find out both why he has missed scheduled training commitments and why he has been drinking whilst injured, which is a clear breach of the club's rules," Don Furner said in a statement.

"Blake will be given the opportunity to explain his actions, and following that he may also be required to front the board to show cause."

A date for the proposed board meeting has not yet been determined.

The rumours are either Souths or Dogs, article in RLW about Souths players wanting him at Souths under Maguire and with the Indigenous senior players.
