On his debut, while he looked good, his game was average. 2 errors, 1 penalty and 2 missed tackles in 15-20 mins.... not that flash.
Credit to him for taking Graham out of the match. That hit was solid on a very tough player, not to mention the English Captain.
    screw the stats

take a look at the effort and energy in his runs. He didn't look out of place at all. On his first grade debut and didn't look like he was once daunted by the occasion

      A very impressive debut ...

Apart from a couple of loose carries he was outstanding...
His defense was awesome & he never took a backward step or looked to hide from the action...
Hope to see him in our 1st grade for many years to come...

He was impressive. Controlling his aggression may take a little time but he ticks a lot of boxes.
Interesting after the game he was sitting next to SBW and they were clearly having a chat

Loved the shoulder charge on arguably the best prop in the game. The first of many memorable moments to come in his future with us. Now unleash Kane Evans and we can have our very own bash brothers

He reminded me a bit of the debut season of mark o meley with the bears....no fear or respect for names or experience.

Just hit and hurt and dominate. Luv it.

On the Brian Smith blog he reviewed the game and mentioned Napa. He added, "The Roosters have 3 more just like him in the lower grades."

It's currently down, but a lot of the same content is on his Facebook page, which is also called Brian Smith Speaks.

The 'error' of Kasiano using his body to roll ball out comes down to inexperience. Set or so later he gave back to Kasiano and got that error back for us. At a massively critical time too. Again, stats tell a story when looked at objectively, not just black and white.
JWH gives away penalties like that all the time; everybody wishes he wouldn't. It won't take you long to change your thinking on it when he gives one away against a team like the Storm in a big game and they score off of it.
Napa was very lucky to not give a penalty away in the 37th minute for another shoulder charge. You can play aggressive and still keep it legal.

You mean when he hit Hodkinson as he was passing? That wasn't a shoulder charge, his arms were out.

I am not talking all penalties, I am not talking JWH, I am not talking another team or time. I am talking the one specific penalty, which in that game set a tone.

It's a good read. No matter What you think of him as a (ex)coach, he always has interesting and original views on the game. A much more interesting read than most journos in the industry.

Good to also see (or hear) that Evans is well and truly up there in Robinson's thoughts post match. We've heard that the club rated him, which is a no-brainer, but nice to hear it from the coach himself. Going to be interesting to see who we keep and who we lose out of our FRF stocks next season.

                              It isn't needed, full stop.
                              You can't selectively condone penalties.

Makes you wonder why we signed the Frenchman Casty.
