  • A better debut.

Maybe I am biased because of my red, white and blue glasses, but have you seen a better debut from a prop forward or a forward in general for that matter?

Let's put it in perspective. The Bulldogs were crap, but they are in form and Kasiano and Graham were trying to give it to Dylan Napa. Playing in front of a Bulldogs crowd, in a tight match I feel he contributed 10 times more than what he was entitled to. I echo what Gus said when he mentioned how SBW seemed to take Napa's lead. When he gave that penalty away he could have gone into his shell but he stepped up intensity again.

His performance from where I sit with all things considered was 10 out of 10. Well done Red Dog!

P.S I think he was correct when he told the ref "that's not a shoulder charge". Hope he gets off!

    P.P.S Eat sh*t Graham.

Our front row stocks look really good. Moving forward I think we should look to Hagreaves, Moa, Napa, Evans and Lui. Kennedy and Tasi are on borrowed time. Back row consisting of Williams, Cordner, Aubusson, Langi and possibly FPN. Guerra is looking the odd man out.

Dylan was excellent and very enthusiastic and based on that performance last night he has a big future ahead of him.
Now, let's see how Kane Evans goes in FG please TR.

nailed it. napa came on and owned the position kennedy has been trying to make his own all year.
and I don't want to be hard on the guy, but if it has taken him a year and a half to recover from a foot injury, how long is it going to take him to recover from this injury?

He was hard and tough. A great debut. I do think though that he found out you need to secure the ball a lot better in FG than you do in 20s or for Newtown. The big boys hit harder. That's just part of the learning experience and I think he was fantastic.

On his ability, you'd say that he looks like playing a lot of FG.
On his debut, while he looked good, his game was average. 2 errors, 1 penalty and 2 missed tackles in 15-20 mins.... not that flash.
Credit to him for taking Graham out of the match. That hit was solid on a very tough player, not to mention the English Captain.

                    RANGA SMASH!!!

I was there to see big Dylan debut in 20s and for the Jets. Everytime he's been asked to step up to a new level he's delivered. In his 20s debut I remember likening him to a young JWH with the intensity in showed in the defensive line, just lining up poor suckers and absolutely nailing them. When he debuted for the Jets against the Dogs he took his first hit up near the line and after the play the ball got into some push and shove with the opposing props. One of them pushed too hard and big Naps just started laying into him. Hit him with about 4 uppercuts haha even in his first rep game for QLD U20s origin he smashed anyone that ran at him and took on half the NSW side in a brawl in the in-goal all by himself. Last night he took Canterbury's best forward out of the game with shoulder on shoulder contact, snapped their halfback in half after passing at one stage and made some very strong carries. He even made Kasiano look up and see what was coming after that Graham hit. He's a crazy bastard when he gets out on a footy field and as long as he can harness some of that he'll be a very good props for Easts for years to come.

On last nights performance a he's definantly a keeper, he's got that same wow factor as JWH a very very good debut.

Disagree. I love seeing a front rower give away a penalty like that. He just wanted to smash some prick and he did. The 'error' of Kasiano using his body to roll ball out comes down to inexperience. Set or so later he gave back to Kasiano and got that error back for us. At a massively critical time too. Again, stats tell a story when looked at objectively, not just black and white.

I can't say I love the penalty part but I'd rather we get penalised for that then someone laying down in the play the ball.

                            It wasn't a penalty, it was a message. That's what I love.

The kid is massive, that's for sure.

With the likes of Napa coming along and with JWH coming back, O'Donnell getting better, Moa being an absolute weapon, and dare I say it FPN hitting the line like a train; I think we are finally starting to see the makings of a forward pack that can compete with Souths as early as this season.
