May actually be Grade 3 reckless, conflicting reports from SMH and Telefluff.

I think Grade 1 Careless is 300 base points so not sure how that would get to 500, so probably a Grade 3 reckless.

Yes it's grade 1 but he has loading.

The base penalty of the charge is 300 points, which usually carries a two-match ban with an early guilty plea.
However three prior similar offences in the past two seasons means the New Zealand International was hit with a 150% loading to the original charge.
JWH will face five weeks on the sideline with an early guilty plea, or seven if he the charge is contested unsuccessfully.
        **** me that is harsh.

I can't see us risking the challenge with that record. (I'm really surprised he has 3 priors in the past 2 seasons tbh, don't remember them)

The three previous infringements include a Grade 3 Careless High Tackle on Paul Gallen on August 20, 2011 and two separate Grade 1 Careless High Tackle's on Sharks duo Ben Ross and Jeff Robson in the same game on July 9, 2012.
Grade 1 careless loadings, that's a stitch up.

JWH is now officially our new Morley.

He won't be able to touch anyone without getting a holiday.

The club needs to fight this charge It is excessive and will get downgraded as Rose was falling into the tackle IMO That in itself will be enough to get a downgrAde

I hope the club fights it, I don't think it's worth that amount of time! Regardless of whether he gets a lesser amount of time or not I think it's safe to say we're gonna be with out our two best props against NQ and Melbourne

I saw that Chechin making sure the camera caught him pointing when he sent JWH off.

The wheezy fat tub of lard was ducking into the tackle, JWH's arm went around the back of his head. The NRL has been getting shit for their pissweak response to Inglis's spear tackles and wanted to make an example.

Bill Harrigan or as I like to call him Ego the Retired Referee (look up Ego the Living Planet) said that Referee's research players.

It was a set up and the Roosters should fight it.

                  5 weeks. Sad but true....

                  Waerea-Hargreaves facing lengthy ban

Jared Waerea-Hargreaves was sent off for a high shot on George Rose
Previous infringements are set to haunt Jared Waerea-Hargreaves with the Roosters enforcer facing a lengthy stint on the sidelines following his send-off in Monday night football.

Waerea-Hargreaves was charged on Tuesday by the NRL Match Review Committee with a Grade 1 Reckless High Tackle on Manly’s George Rose.

The incident happened in the 69th minute of the Roosters' 16-4 victory over the Sea Eagles at Brookvale Oval.

The base penalty of the charge is 300 points, which means normally an early guilty plea would carry a two-match ban.

However three prior similar offences in the past two seasons means the New Zealand International was hit with a 150% loading to the original charge.

It means Waerea-Hargreaves faces a five-match suspension with an early guilty plea, or seven-matches if he contests the charge at the NRL judiciary and loses.

The Roosters prop would be free to play if he successfully fights the charge at the NRL judiciary.

The three previous infringements include a Grade 3 Careless High Tackle on Paul Gallen on August 20, 2011 and two separate Grade 1 Careless High Tackle's on Ben Ross and Jeff Robson in the same game on July 9, 2012.

Waerea-Hargreaves will have 10 points subtracted from his final charge due to the equivalent minutes that he missed for being sent-off.

Jake Friend was also charged by the NRL Match Review Committee with a Grade 1 Creless High Tackle on Manly forward Brent Kite, but the Roosters rake will not miss any games.

The Roosters will have until midday on Wednesday to enter a plea.

I'm am not saying this as a roosters fan, but as a fan of rugby league in general.

I have seen much worse tackles not even be penalised. Rose got up straight away and was not even hurt in the slightest and if you look at it at normal speed it does not even look that bad.

I agree it was reckless and not careless. Live by the sword, and die by the sword. I am still happy to have an enforcer like this in the team. We will miss him.

Glad to see Jake get off. We will need him next week.

                          How fcuking ridiculous.

A send off, and now this.

And against Manly, the competition's premier grubs.

Couldn't have happened to a nicer bloke than George Rose though. Although maybe Matai would've been more appropriate.

They can fight this all they like, but he's out for a month. Fcuk the NRL.

Ask yourself the question: if the tackle had occurred in the first 10 minutes, rather than in the last ten, would it still have resulted in a send-off?

                            Of course bloody not.

An absolute joke from a referee who wanted his fifteen minutes of fame.

I noticed how pissed off that knob sucking cum guzzling referee looked when we scored at the death and called it a try as he referrred it upstairs At that moment he looked away from the camera as opposed to what you correctly pointed out when he sent JWH off. He was pissed fully off

I will never accuse the ref's of bias because I don't have 10 grand to spare but there is a bias in some of the referees.
