Bench should be a utility hooker/half, a mobile backrower, and two big men. e.g. Jones, Symonds, Mason, Nuuausala.

Originally posted by Kramer86 View PostJones is useless off the bench! With Anasta at lock next season, and Carney at 6. We have enough depth to cover any injuries during a game in the halves. Jaubs should have the bench spot, as a replacement specialist hooker. That is unless Jones comes on to play hooker every match, but Jones is not a hooker so I can't see that happening

Originally posted by footy View PostI think Jones can be a very effective hooker. Has anybody seen him play there? If not, it can be a masterstroke if we can prepare him in the pre-season for it. I saw him play there for NSW Under 17 in 2007 off the bench and he was great. He certainly made his present felt at hooker and I was amazed to think he had never played there before. A lot of good hookers started off in the halves eg. Jake Friend, Michael Ennis, Cameron Smith.

Then again, it was his first game and it was against the storm

The talent and potential is all there to be developed with most of the players. People tend to forget that these are the same players who got us to the top 4 last season. There's nothing wrong with the talent we've got at our disposal, it's the culture, coaching structures and the attitude.
