Fair point HC however today's players train as professionals.
Maybe i'm looking at it took simplistic but IMO just as they are expected to defend equally & competently with both shoulders they should be encouraged to play both sides. FFS they train 6 days a week.
That brings me to another point - passing the ball. Is it too much to expect the modern player to be able to pass a football capably
both sides? There are still a lot of players out there who struggle.

I played in the old days when you played both sides of the field. I was virtually redundant on the right side though because I had a right hand fend and left hand carry. I would carve on the left side though and I look back at things like where I stood from a scrum and think how dumb I was. When I played fullback, I would invariably stand on the short side (like all fullbacks at the time) even though it might have been on the right side of the field. I saw a video of an old game I played not long ago and I did exactly that in the game and received the ball. When I watched it back I thought to myself how dumb I was, but that was the way we were coached. All I'm saying is that for some people its just natural that they will be more effective on one side of the field than the other.

Potentially he is a world beater but rarely lives up to the hype. I want him out. Enough chances.
Only problem is the coaches seem to see him differently. Smith always had him starting and Robbo seems to as well.
They must see value in him.
I wish he were on match payments.

That would be ideal for a few players too. SKD is one who springs to mind straight away.
What about an old school fine for giving away a penalty. 5% for a penalty and same for a missed tackle or jersey grab. **** now that would bring out the best in some blokes week in week out

If fined for a jersey grad or missed tackle, SKD would end up owing us money!

Nice team but one issue. Tolman is not a Rooster.

I'd keep him. FPN does a lot of clean up work in defence that (apparently) goes unnoticed, especially close to our line. He has just turned 26, he is not "old". In fact, as a forward, he is only now coming towards his prime time.

Releasing him now could easily turn out to be another Shillington situation.

This means you manage the risk in preseason trades.
                      POS is that you?

I agree with that. He has improved under Robbo and I suspect that is because he has clear instructions as to what his role is in the team. I have been impressed with his form this year
