This year has a different feel about it. If he slacks off he will stand out.
Robo is creating nice a tight knit unit here.
Does he want to be the player known for not performing to the best of his ability ?

Aubusson and FPN are the two off contract. SBW plays right edge, Aubusson plays right edge, Guerra plays left edge, Cordner plays left edge or tight, and FPN and Arona both play tight.

If FPN goes and Aubusson stays - Guerra on the left, SBW on the right, Cordner at lock, Aubusson on the bench (Arona 18th man)
If FPN stays and Aubusson goes - Cordner on the left, SBW on the right, FPN at lock, Guerra on the bench (Arona 18th man)
If FPN goes and Aubusson goes - Guerra on the left, SBW on the right, Cordner at lock, Arona on the bench
If FPN stays and Aubusson stays - Cordner on the left, SBW on the right, FPN at lock, Aubusson on the bench (Guerra 18th man)

Guerra and Cordner are on long term contracts. SBW will most likely stay until end of 2014 IMO, and Arona is signed until end of 2014 too. My guess is that one of FPN and Aubusson will stay.

All this left edge, right edge business is irrelevant IMO. Trent showed as such on Monday night giving SBW the opportunity to roam.
Is it really necessary to pigeon hole players anyway???

seems to me as though Easts new approach is sign everyone of promise and then you can negotiate & trade the players you don't wish to keep in order to stay within the cap. Makes sense with limited quality players and a market with players' asking prices heading north.
This means you manage the risk in preseason trades.

Had we kept taka, we could have let this happen. Unless Evans, Napa or Martin make their debuts this year and free up JWH to move to lock, then I doubt that we can let Both FPN and Aubo go.

It sure is overplayed on here...most players can play a range of roles...you want your top 17 in the squad and shape it from there.

Its no secret Robbo likes FPN'S contribution to the team & if asked would prefer he stay...

the club on the other hand has proven to be a wise spender & in this regard FPN would not be offered much

For me I'm happy if he's retained on a minimum as he's lucky to be still here

He will accept a reduced wage to play under a coach he likes, cant see many other teams interested....

Not all players have the skills and ability of SBW. Jennings kills it on the left but struggled when Penrith tried to convert him to a right side centre. Some people have the ability to switch sides, others don't.

                              Correct.

SBW might have the ability to play both sides, but it is a matter of which side he is most effective on. The commentators jizzed over him popping up on the left to score the try, but that was more of a 'Johnny-on-the-spot' instance. In general play, he looks most comfortable on the right where his right arm offload and left-to-right pass work the best. Also suits his preferred footwork too.

Aubusson also looks a million bucks on the right, but on the left the lines he runs aren't as effective. How many times have we seen him cut through on the right off Pearce's shoulder, bounce off a few defenders before slicing back in towards the posts with a little jink off the right foot and a fend? Or his other one, the straight line inside SKD, before the in-and-away swerve and angling out to the corner?
